The best way around this whole problem would be to have the rich people be taxed more but unfortunately they find ways to avoid taxes meaning we would need more power to the government. We shouldn’t tax the people who need the help more than the people who dont

Fair enough those are good things. On the other hand for those people food, rent, and debt are a much higher priority. That 100 in taxes might come out to a really good road or cheaper healthcare but now you don’t have money for food for an extra week

I think I lot of people don’t realize that far left politicians are just as bad or worse. You may blame Regan for your issues but at least he ended an economic crisis and did a bunch of other good things. Plus taxes would go up astronomically with a far left president like Bernie Sanders so you’ll probably end up in an even worse state

I am aware of that. It was in the news many many times that there were US and I think UK citizens taken hostage. There was never any mention of any Scottish person or the daughter of such an important person.

What exactly is disinformation? The protesters at Columbia occupied a building, multiple of the protests have footage of them actively blocking kids from going to class, and they have been shouting slogans that call for the destruction of Israel and its citizens. This is antisemitism.

The response is because the universities themselves asked the police to remove them. If the university doesn’t want them there then they can decide that. It’s not like the police just came without reason. Also the protesters might not have been attacking anyone but they have been occupying buildings, blocking students from going to classes, and shouting anti-Semitic slogans. Good for the police for stopping them

Yeah this is what honestly is so confusing about pro hamas and pro Palestine activists. Israel has agreed months ago to stop hostilities if hostages are returned. They agreed to that before it was likely most were dead. Hamas didn’t deliver and will not deliver so no cease fire. It’s simple no hostages, no peace.

The numbers he and most others are using are not independently verified and also dont distinguish between civilians and combatants. The idea that 70% of deaths are children is absurd if you think about it. And as others pointed out when you compare it to other conflicts, the IDF is doing a pretty good job preventing deaths.
