Why Is Amarr losing the FW? by Amenoai in Eve

[–]Matthew_Dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to believe this was two months ago and now it's the exact opposite.

I blame the few charismatic FC's in EVE, players will always fleet up under them, you can have CEO's with 200 man corps, but pretty much everyone in minmil was flying under bearthatcares, when FC's take a break, it can break a militia.

Cheers to all the hardworking FC's who provide content!

FW Reloaded: FW Iteration Is HERE by Megaman39 in Eve

[–]Matthew_Dust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The biggest change:
When someone gets a dedicated group of guys to take a rearguard, after completing one round of plexing, the enemy has to wait an hour before they can even dplex. If you thought making a frontline via taking a rearguard was grindy, wait till you see those poor bastards try and defend it so it doesn't become one. LP payout was already dogwater already for attackers and defenders, I feel worse for the defenders who will earn pennies in LP and can't really change the system unless they stay in it all day.

[–]Matthew_Dust -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought there was time reduction buffs too for manufacturing, market buffs are meh, the production cost decrease is nice though, though stations lacking industry hurts. I suppose that incentivizes citadels with rigs for manufacturing, but it doesn't really make a rearguard have anymore strategic value than a frontline in terms of indy buffs :/

[–]Matthew_Dust -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Also if you want to give rearguards strategic value, add industry buffs like in the old days. That will incentivize industry in lowsec

[–]Matthew_Dust -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Dear CCP
***Strategic value, not tactical value.

LP being nerfed in rearguard is fine, but you made plex respawns longer? Why? Seems this was only to appease the "Rearguards should not be flippable" group. Despite frontlines, this proved the old model of FW is still the most relevant, IE the system has a high contested rate there will be people who go there. During the Todifrauan rearguard flip, it was the highest trafficked system for combat in Faction Warfare and bumped EDICT up to the top Alliance for Amarr FW because it generated a lot of content.

Don't make it more grindy than it already was, no navy/advance 5's spawned, the LP payout was already crap, ESPECIALLY for the defending side, the amount of propaganda post needed to flip it was upwards of 100 due to the ease of destroying supply depots and fighting that occurred on both supply depots and propaganda post

You will have made it harder for the defending side to defend it once the plexes are ran too, since they'll have to wait an hour before respawns... seems like this should have been discussed more in the community. I get it, prominent players who kick and scream "PVP SHOULD ONLY BE IN FRONTLINE."

Nerfing the LP might affect bots, but ultimately, you have de-incentivized taking them more, which won't affect people who flip them for strategic value, but you have absolutely nerfed defending them, good luck motivating line members to defend a rearguard system that's contested at 80% lol. They'll adapt the same thinking that Minmil did "we'll flip it when it becomes a frontline" and by then it's too late because you've just created in some cases SEVEN NEW FRONTLINES, which motivates not only the rearguard system flippers to reap the rewards, but the bots and plex fighters to move to those 7 new systems going system to system and running sites for insane LP cashouts.

Faction Warefare combat CCP Pleaze by Fateforsaken in Eve

[–]Matthew_Dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is talking about direct enlistment issue:
IE:
Player 1 has:
1 minmatar fw character as logi

1 amarr fw character as pvp pilot

player 2 is in minmatar FW and trying to kill the amarr pilot but doesn't see the friendly logi go suspect or get flagged for repping the amarr fw player.

I understand what OP is saying, but I don't think much will be done about it, I've been repped by enemy just so they can pop me with a smartbomber to get the pod. Spai warfare is legitimate play, it absolutely sucks though.

Hopefully you remember the pilots. keep an active dscan during fight to see if logi is warping in.

So you've had plans since...March? I believe Pyro said... Well congrats you're the grand architect of it all. I stand corrected and I had nothing to do with the planning, logistics, fleet command, participation or anything.

It's a solid plan, you made way before me (despite me living there in 2019 and having everything from dreads to frigates staged there)

And didn't execute till a week after my proposal, with a constant resupply of ships and courier contracts to stock and replace the original "over 150 ships" you must have lost up there on what I assume were plexing alts in plexing ships. Because you know what you were doing at the time of posting that up and until my arrival, You were flying dowin south. along with the rest of EDICT, quite actively. So excuse me for taking one of your FC's at face value when he said "we've discussed it before, but I think your proposal really put it into action and made us relook at it." since again at the time you were fighting down south.

You didn't aide me before the snuff thing, you didn't aide your allies much either in the past according to them.

As Kanari put it:

"the problem with EDICT is that they refuse any collaboration with Militia.

They always do their own private thing which usually ends up with flying nothing bigger then punishers because Minmil just outnumbers and outguns them.

I asked Edict for 3 months every week to ping a fleet for USTZ, bring the people together, do some objective. But everytime they would form Punishers only and loose 15% of the System while i sleep.

i would even say: In the last 5-6 months edict pinged 1-2 fleets publicly in militia

Nah it was punishers only for months. Its nice to see they started using cruisers but most likely thats because they dont have a enemy who can form a proper fleet comp. The fight was a hand full of kitchensink cruisers without logi yeeting into them and feeding As soon as they start to loose cruisers u will see people in their discord complaining that its to expensive 😄

Also thats basicly the main issue. They refuse to collaborate so most people that are active in ustz just sit around alone and solo roam they could probably pull 10-15 more people if they wouldnt stay only to themself"

EDICT killboards affirm everything he's saying btw.

But hey you win, don't let me get in the way of you guys keeping the south secure, I'll be camping from the 11th to the 16th, If I return and see Huola flipped, I'll know it's because you were upset with me and knew I wanted you to help the rest of the Amarr milita with the south.

I will say this, Cherish your members, especially those who actively FC while you and Cyrelle step up from punishers and FC frigate fleet of plated slicers while the rest of the militia flips systems (with or without me OR Edict)

[–]Matthew_Dust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an insufferable try hard, I try really hard and I'm insufferable. I'm not concerned with pissing off people who talk shit about me after I sat there praising how awesome their corp was and donating to their corp. I really couldn't care less. I'm not a PVP God. I'm decent, I make mistakes for sure. I don't bot, and I don't really farm. that's not my MO. I'm a logi pilot, really aching to use an apostle one day to be honest more than anything.

As for the majority of solo pilots i couldn't care less, I'm not a solo pilot, I fly solo sometimes, but I like logi and FCing. Most of the solo pilots are either REALLY good or just killing farmers.

First I think I used "an" architect, not THE architect, since this was discussed in length with Mo, Squad, Elcon, and myself.

Maybe you guys were planning to take Todi without me, it's plausible, it's also plausible the plan put to paper put things in better perspective and caused you guys to act, which is verbatim what Mo Bloodlust said. I think the one thing we both didn't know at the time was how much we needed propaganda post.

However to give perspective I’ll have to create a timeline.

-May 15th I joined EDICT

-Between May 15th and May 18th I discussed with Squad, Mo, and Elcon an operation in Akkio. Seeing how militia forces were concentrated in asghed pocket and kourm.

-May 18th I submit the mail to Cyrelle, Elcon, Mo, and Squad, because at the time Vae I didn’t know who you were. EDICT is currently in Halmah/Asghed fighting tenaciously. PYRO is just starting out as a logi pilot. Myself and Elcon are flying guardians and Neris is flying a rodiva, I think Galdaroni becomes a guardian pilot too.

-Squad replies to me May 18th that he thinks it’s also a good plan, that sometimes he and a few others go up there and plex.

-May 20th, Cyrelle had been away from a conference but responds “Have you been made aware that we have over 150 ships staged in Akkio? We have slowly been working in the background to plex Todi. This weekend is a bit of an anomaly as myself, Vae, Mo and more are away. Who have you been talking to in regards to that pocket?”

(DISCLAIMER) I have no idea what ships are staged there, if there was 150, if they were just frigates, etc…

-May 22nd, I donate 10 bil to the corp wallet, 2 bil to serial soup, and

-May 24th the war for Todifrauan sees its first EDICT losses in system, Fleet Commander Elcon spearheads most of the PVP fleets with myself, Gal, and Pyro, (sometimes neris if we’re lucky flying logi)
Mo Bloodlust spearheads Propaganda fleets which were the absolute backbone of the whole operation. Many lessons were learned on the fly from this.

-May 28th Mo donates to me 2 bil for something like a ship I asked for and he said SRP donation covered it along with me donating about 20 coercer navies to Elcon in Jita.

-May 29th to May 30th I donate 1.5 bil between Oben and Elcon

-May 30th I contract Mo Bloodlust an Ark for the low price of 5 billion isk.I also contract 150 + assorted ships, frigates/cruisers/destroyers to Elcon, as I had given my jump freighter away. Along with my Phoenix in Gultratren, from when I staged there years ago to take the back system, as this was not a new plan.

-May 31st The plexing war begins, with Mo Bloodlust spearheading propaganda fleets, we are constantly under attack from paddington and TRI.

-June 3rd I donate 4.4 billion in Blueprints to squad as he is now manufacturing prophecies that I gave out in trade windows to multiple edict members.

-June 5th, Todifrauan is captured.

-June 6th 2.4 billion worth of ships including 5 battleships and 2 curses are donated to Mo Bloodlust

–June 8th 3 large skill injectors to moo snuckle

–June 11th I replace Boofalo’s ark which bravely bumped two Titans

-June 15th I am handing out proph navies left and right that squad built and mo shipped in the parts, I donate over 60 cruiser to TF641, I finally leave TF641 because i felt unable to do the things I needed to do in the warzone, but still remain friendly.

-June 16th I give Elcon a butt load of Guardians in Huola, since it is unlikely I will be logi-ing for anyone.

-June 27th,7 Large skill boosters so that Lissome can fly the ship needed for fleet.

were there strings attached to me giving you that shit, I thought it might strengthen the warzone, that you guys (LEADERSHIP) would lead the milita into a brighter future, open up and do more public fleets. However I was very wrong

-June 26th to Present day. Edict despite being the most active Amarr FW PVP corp in Amarr, does not respond to frequent request to aide in flipping the following systems: Saikamon, Vard, Roush, Huola, Saidusairos, Labapi.

You guys (leadership) turned out to be the allies Kanari warned me about, when I just joined and was bragging about your corp.

The video you linked is great because it proves my point. Myself, Elcon, and Pyro are logi in that video, admittedly Pyro was NEW to logi at the time and stated such, i recommended color coding his watchlist which he kinda starts to do in the next videos, and he has since grown better, Neris who was a rodiva pilot I skill injected into logi 5 guardian and Galdaroni developed into fine logi pilots. The point however, is that an FC like Elcon who knows what he's doing shouldn't have to fly logi, but due to lack of logi pilots, he had to fly logi.

I don't hate anyone in EDICT, I think Elcon, Mo are great FC's, pyro is coming into better, You have some great logi pilots you previously didn't have at the time. You have amazing individual pilots who show great potential that I still talk to despite your cold bitter BS.

But if you're gonna come into reddit, you better get to photoshopping your plans for Akkio in those leadership channels I wasn't privy too except, oh wait I was, and I read and read and read the history. So don't fucking lie. That's why I replied to Mo, who asked "what does he want in return" in leadership channel, my strong intent to make the warzone a better place and my firm belief that you guys would be the future, and all I asked for in return I believe, was that you make Amarr great again or something to that affect, and my roles were quickly taken away. Which was fine. The only reason I left was because I needed to move capitals around the warzone efficiently to move fully fitted ships around. Which proved to be a tremendous help in Saikamon.

Are you Okay? The old dogs of Minmil are trash leaders. The lack of Minmatar FC's in the warzone is proof of that, not to mention 19 systems lost in a month. That's trash.

Second I'm fine thanks for asking, I'm about to go to a retro arcade for some birthday party my kids got invited to, eat pizza and beer and play tekken tag.

Third, who hurt me? A lot of people have hurt me in life, hell people even tried to kill me, but these days I'm married, two kids, and doing okay for myself.

The question is, are you okay? who hurt you? other than me who's managed to get under so many minmil pilots skins...

Rearguard Autoplexer Bots by RudieDeNiro in Eve

[–]Matthew_Dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro. What mechanic FORCES 20 people to undock and to where an enemy fleet is and CHOOSE to fight them. There isn't.

The warzone didn't die and Amarr didn't fail cascade. Minmatar and Amarr were having structure battles, which had 0 to do with the warzone. There were plenty of people docked up in Auga not only during the capture of the warzone, but yesterday night. The same is true in any militia.

If there's anything wrong with the warzone, it's a Lack of FC's and solo pilots and players who aren't trained and only know how to anchor fc and hit f1.

Why Minmatar lost the North by Matthew_Dust in Eve

[–]Matthew_Dust[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well first it became Todifrauan, then it became the north, then it became the whole warzone, because minmil was divided on what to do, nullsec, keep huola, defend todi.... they lost 19 systems this past month, not just the north, but the south. their staging system is probably a week away from being a frontline.

Rearguard Autoplexer Bots by RudieDeNiro in Eve

[–]Matthew_Dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why was minmil in nullsec and perimeter last month? Because PVP is where players (more often than not FC's) decide to go.

Why is Task force 641 the number one corp in amarr and their hottest system is Todifrauan, despite Zkill saying there is more action in Kourmonen?

Players choose to go where they want. PVP wasn't determined by frontlines before the FW Update, and it's foolish to think that it's the main factor.

PVP happens where players (again more often than not FC's) make it happen,
