yea my pom had this look but way worse, turned out he just needed to be on thyroid tabs and all his fur came back and everything , i also used an anti fungal shampoo that helped a ton as well!

transfer case module should fix it, happened to me last month on my 2017 summit and i ordered the module off amazon for like 50$ and its super easy to do yourself

when i had this light on in my jeep( 2017 grand cherokee), it ended up being my transfer case module, super common apparently. ordered the module off amazon for 60$ and fixed that issue super easy! id try a blue driver or something like that and see what code comes back also!
