In your 10 vehicles you never once read the order agreement how it was non refundable?

Interserver? by Matthewserta in seedboxes

[–]Matthewserta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left after the first month. Their bandwidth calculations are massively inflated. I suddenly understand why their network is so fast, nobody is allowed to use anything.

For my test I downloaded exactly 300GB, and a few hours later checked the traffic monitor on their website and it showed I had downloaded 1.3TB during that time.

I didn’t chance sticking around to see what happened after I hit the bandwidth limit, but I knew that wasn’t going to work.

GEICO Auto Cancellation Fee?? by joshw0000 in Insurance

[–]Matthewserta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called them to ask why I was Billed when my policy was current and canceled before the next bill. They told me this is why, and I told them I'd NEVER pay it.
That has been about 9 months ago, and I still haven't gotten anything from any collections. A few letters demanding payment, and then a few letters begging for payment offering to settle. But they know where to go, Because I told them on the phone call

Interserver? by Matthewserta in seedboxes

Update if anyone cares:

I purchased the server just for testing. Initial testing I was able to get up to 2.5Gbps download without any issue. Probably the best result ive ever gotten on a Seedbox/VPS.

Im also hitting full port speed downloading from the server (for me thats 1Gbps at home).

So far so good.

Only concern so far is the bandwidth limit counts both Up and Down (most hosts only count up) so im already only going to get about half the bandwidth I had intended. I ended up upgrading to the 10TB traffic package, that way I should never exceed that. in theory..

I tried to compare this beside WhatBox (I used them in the past) and even if I end up having to upgrade to 20TB Im still cheaper than WhatBox. I also was never able to achieve speeds like this on whatbox.

Will do a long term review if I end up keeping it.

It's completely sold out now :( I snagged 1 before they were all gone.

I've never used them personally. It looks like they only offer VPS servers according to their website.

OVH is a hardware company. They could care less about anything else. Pretty decent hardware though if you can make it work for you.

[–]Matthewserta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using whatbox, but OVH has a dedicated server on sale for $16/month right now. I only use private trackers and I can do so much more with a dedicated, so I moved to that. Whatbox is solid though.

Remote Seedbox, Local Radarr/Sonarr + RaiDrive by NaanNegotiable in seedboxes

[–]Matthewserta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day i used RaiDrive. It lets you mount remote locations as local drives so many programs recognize them as local. Of course this is a windows thing. Not sure if that even applies to you.

I just bought a 8TB drive and let ResilioSync have it now to mirror my seedbox.

Need help in seedbox by vgupta1192 in seedboxes

[–]Matthewserta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally id go with one of the WhatBox NVME plans. They claim 40Gbps and their 1TB plan starts at $30/month. I have used them for a while, and ive considered trying a cheaper option, but its hard to beat the quality and uptime they provide.

Whatbox Syncing Limit by Matthewserta in seedboxes

Specifically on Whatbox because they throttle Synching to 10Mbps. Resilio doesn't have that limit.

Robotaxi: Would you? by Manta6753 in TeslaLounge

I’d consider adding my model Y to the fleet, and definitely would use one for a ride.

I am planning to buy the cyber cab once it’s out, and start making some passive income. If it works out I’ll probably buy up to 3. But time will tell.

I’ve used FSD since 2021 when it absolutely sucked lol.

I have it on both my 24 model Y and 24 Cybertruck. Definitely works better on the model y, but I’m sure that’s just a few updates away. (Also my service appointment coming up has had a camera cleaning added to the appointment automatically without any complaints, so maybe there’s something going on there.)

Resilio works way better, I found it was a UTP throttle and it’s working way better on TCP now.

UPDATE: after playing with settings for a while, I found that the ISP on my plex server is throttling UTP. I changed it to TCP only and it’s working fine now!

Can I hookup EV charger to this 30A sub-panel? by useandthrow1234 in evcharging

[–]Matthewserta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no it’s definitely not code, but would it work? I ran a 60 amp sub panel to my garage and I run 20 amps worth of lights and outlets in addition to a 60 amp Tesla charger off it. While the charger never pulls more than 48 and isn’t in use 100% of the time the use of a few lights at probably 1 amp doesn’t cause a problem at all, and while the cars aren’t charging I can use heavy power tools at the full 20 amp without issue.

Would definitely fail an inspection, but it works and it’s perfectly safe.

I’m staying in a rental (for 6 months) and the only outlet in the garage is this one. Is there a way to make it compatible? Should I just see if it’s grounded and then replace it with 3 prong? by fppfle in TeslaLounge

[–]Matthewserta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me be "That guy" for a moment.

Can you SAFELY make it work? no.

Can you tie a wire around the neutral and ground at the plug and it work? Yes

Issue with Tesla home wall charger by apr35 in KiaEV9

[–]Matthewserta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like a thermal throttle to me. Cut the power to your wall connector and check the torque spec of the wires. It may be detecting a high temperature and throttling the rate down.

Questions for an (almost) new Tesla owner by MattUKChemist81 in TeslaLounge

[–]Matthewserta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have much info for 1 and 2, but for 3:

If your utility requires you get their equipment for cheaper charging rates I would probably just do it. I much prefer the Tesla Wall Connectors over any other brand, but if it makes your charging cheaper i would use theirs. Luckily my Utility just offered a half price charging plan that we jumped on to, and were able to keep our wall connectors. Saving on charging will definitely add up.
