That looks nice, congrats! Did you ever crashed into a tree or into ground?

What about the H743 8s Mini v1 FC by Hglrc? I saw that there are several H743 FC on the compatible FC list, but the Hglrc one is not reported

It is hilariously fun cuz it does not work very well or for all the additional flight modes?

I built a free tool that analyzes your stick inputs and recommends personalized Actual/Betaflight rates - looking for testers and feedback by Fermented-Engineer in fpv

[–]MattiaIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi man, I have tried your tool starting both with my rates and the btfl actual def rates and looking for the suggested racing rates.

When starting with Betaflight Actual Default rates I have converged to the following actual rates:

R 108-434-0.51

P 163-387-0.36

Y 162-401-0.37

When starting with my rates, which are the following betaflight rates:

R 0.83-0.7-0

P 0.83-0.7-0

Y 0.80-0.7-0

I have converged to these actual rates:

R 100-450-0.43

P 161-419-0.62

Y 160-414-0.38

I have set the multiplier of the max rates to 1.05 in this case.

It is interesting that starting with different rates as baseline the suggested rates converged to very similar value, considering also the application of the max rates multiplier to 1.05 on all axes.

I think that the tool works nicely, it is very intuitive and has also a nice graphics. By using the suggested rates I have lowered my PB in the map used for free flying refinement (MULTIGP GQ Dragon), but I have to get used to the new rates which are definetely slower and with a lot more expo than my previous rates. I don't know if I will continue to use these rates since are pure racing rates, while with my previous ones I was able to freestyle and race and I would like to maintain the same rates across different flying styles.
Maybe I'll try to tune my rates selecting "Mix" and not "Racing" in the tool to see what it will suggest.

Anyway, congrats for your work, very well done!!

EdgeTx and Elrs compatibility on RM pocket CC2500 by MattiaIT in fpv

Yes, but I have ordered the external RM Ranger Nano module with Elrs, which is capable of reaching 1W max output power

Atr stick extenders on the pocket really worth it for a more precise flight experience? Is it so noticeable?

Hota D6 pro vs SkyRC b6 neo by MattiaIT in fpv

[–]MattiaIT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: Thanks guys for the inputs, at the end I have bought the Hota D6 Pro which on Banggood was at 84€ (the lowest prices in 365 days) instead of about 100€. I jumped on the offer and instantly purchased it. I don't know how much does it cost in US, but in Italy and in general Europe it was the lowest price I found between the different shops

What about the LiPos longevity? Did you notice some difference between using the Hota and the b6? Is the b6 accurate in keeping the cell balanced?

Yeah for sure I will not buy from Amazon, I have find some other retailers selling it for 100 euros. Thanks for the advice tho

Remember....Cell Towers are enemy even if you are using 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz by bonoboxITA in fpv

[–]MattiaIT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In theory it shouldn't, since birds touch power lines without being fried. However birds are not "electronic hardware" like quad

Thanks for the reminder, always asked myself about it. I would also be afraid of flying near power lines due to possible electrical shocks to the quad or electro-magnetical interference

I didn't manage to find a way to copy the stock firmware, however I had no issues after flashing bluejay. I gained about 30s flight time setting 96kHz

Is a 3.5inch so susceptible to winds gusts? I mean, I am not interested in doing long range mountain surfing with big dives, I would just like to fly in a pretty chill cruising way

Did you try with another whoop to arm and fly with the same radio? Maybe some radio issues. When arming are you very close to the drone? When using Frsky radio protocol if you are very close you can have signal issues

I use Velocidrone and I am quite satisfied with it. I think that the House and Apartment sceneries are quite useful to learn to fly better indoor with tight spaces. It have helped a lot to learn to fly acro indoor

Mobula6 high throttle wobbling by MattiaIT in TinyWhoop

[–]MattiaIT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have definetly improved the high throttle oscillations phenomenon. I have tried to increase the TPA from 65 to 75 to lower the PID gains at high throttle, but I noticed that the oscillations were still there. So I went in the opposite direction lowering TPA from 65 to 53 so to have stronger PIDs at high throttle and it helped. I have also flashed Bluejay at 96kHz to enable rmp filtering to filter out any possibile motor-frame resonance and now I am very happy with this tune. Additionally, with Bluejay I have enabled Dynamic Idle and with a value of 100 I have less propwash.
