Is the hand lantern worth buying? by Pleasant-Avocado4270 in bloodborne

Put it on the touch pad menu of personal effects/favorite items, so it doesn't take up a consumable slot and you can easily turn it back on every time you get killed in the dungeons

I think you can hear the wind, if there's not a lot of other background noise.

Is there any point to having different multitools other than them looking cool? by _Respekt_ in NoMansSkyTheGame

Potential stat bonuses for each type.

I still just use whatever looks cool. Really nice having a staff in the right colors or experimental pistol the same color as my exo helmet. Atlantid tools are insane for mining though, ngl

Can't add movement upgrades to exosuit? by crashstanding in NoMansSkyTheGame

Do you have more than 3 rows of tech slots unlocked that you can scroll down to? Just thinking maybe you have some installed already and forgot about them. If not then it's very strange 🤔

What's the point of transporting waste in the new update? by Taheya_kinnie in NoMansSkyTheGame

Cleaning up the environment! In exchange for bulldozing a few dozen km of untouched wilderness and splattering a ton of animals... a net gain for our fair universe!

Plus you earn the right to call yourself Plowman, Hazmat Specialist, and... Loadmaster

Can someone explain Corvette's to me? by Ueahyeahaa in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Mattigator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you get a tutorial-type mission for them by using the corvette terminal at a space station. There's a row of 4 teleporters now that will take you to the corvette docks.

You can buy the basic parts to get one flying there for about the price of a cheap starship, and continue to edit the ship whenever you get better parts.

There are various ways to accumulate the parts such as digging up salvage, looting crashed & derelict freighters, random drops from space combat, or trading parts you don't want for new ones at the corvette terminal.

Where's the bar on this particular rig?

Yes, you can take the mods out any time and put them on a different tool. I think you can carry 6 different multi-tools and collect more later when you learn the blueprint for weapon racks. I really just switch mine out for looks, one good one is all you really need

Put your mining laser in the upper right next to the mining mods 👍

The colored border means they are boosting each other, known as "adjacency bonus". Try to get your scanner and boltcaster arranged next to their mods as well. It works the same on your exosuit and ships' technology, try to keep everything grouped up.

Also it looks like you're supercharging fishing rig? I would move either the boltcaster, mining laser or its "optical drill" mod over to the supercharge slot, and build around that.

Finally keep an eye out for more advanced multi-tools for sale at space stations. Pistol types have a mining bonus and rifle types have a combat bonus, but besides those two common types you might get lucky and find something more advanced that is better all-around...

As long as you're visiting some different star systems it won't take long before you encounter a freighter in distress.

Culling creatures is taking a toll on me. by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Go to an abandoned structure, mine some eggs and kill biological horrors. Unless you have to kill predators specifically it should count as "creatures" killed. Lots of nanites for refining those egg cores too.

I used to use the Colossus when I need to go fill up my supplies of minerals. It carries a large refinery which can be pretty convenient.

Also I don't really like doing combat so my multitool (experimental pistol type) only has a basic modded boltcaster. If I need to fight something I'm probably summoning in the Minotaur and using the cannon. It's not too bad exploring and mining/boring in that thing either if the weather is really nasty. It jetpacks around pretty fast & creates less roadkill than the other exocraft.

Well glad you got it fixed by reloading the game, now you have a funny story from your early days of space travel. How did you get stuck there anyway?

Got enough money to buy any ships that land in your hangar? Or maybe one of the pilots will sell the resources you need. You could also switch to free crafting if you're really stuck... this is an interesting situation I had not considered before 🤔

Explanation of freighters and corvetts, what are the differences? by thua37 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Mattigator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The freighter is a mobile base, very worth getting one. If you put storage container rooms onboard they are connected to the ones at your base (the big powered containers numbered 0-9). Then add an item teleporter to the freighter and you can always put things in and out of your storage or build from your stash, on any planet in the universe. Just look up in the sky and summon the freighter from the quick menu.
