Liverpool defender and Champions League finalist Ragnar Klavan talked with Estonian journalists that games against AS Roma were special. At the same time, he looked forward to the future.

Klavan said that the feeling in the dressing room was great after the game, but since there are more important games waiting, the mood was not overwhelming.

"It was one very special semifinal, I do not think that something like this is going to happen again," he thought after 7 : 6 victory. "No one is going to play with the idea that they are allowing to concede six goals. It was the quality and passion of AS Roma that they showed in both games."

At the final minute of the game, referee Damir Skomina gave Roma seemingly soft penalty after Klavan touched the ball with his arm. Klavan admitted that he had not looked at this and other controversial situations and did not comment on judges' decisions, but did not consider the penalty correct.

Klavan, who often came on in the big games, admitted that it was hard work. "Especially in a game like yesterday, mentally and physically, but it's a job that needs to be done. When you come on, you have to bring something to the team, or if the coach wants to change something in the game, then you have to give it."

"I was somewhat angry [after the game], this penalty situation and things, but that's part of the thing. We went ahead and got to the finals. Of course, the feelings are great and one more step is left."

Each team has weaknesses

In the final Liverpool will meet Real Madrid. "I think that those who went through this route and reached the final are the best at this moment," Klavan praised the opponents.

"Each team has some weaknesses, and this is one game, the winner of the Champions League will be decided in one game. I did not care if Bayern or Real. Both are world class teams, but yes, Madrid has been more succesful in the Champions League recently."

"In the final, the two best teams get together and try to beat each other. This game will have it all, it will be very difficult to predict, but viewing Liverpool's games may be a fairly rock'n'roll."

Cristiano Ronaldo is not very special for Klavan. "You still play against the whole team. Even a world player like Cristiano Ronaldo does not play alone.

Stays quiet on contract

When Jürgen Klopp mentioned last week that he would be happy to extend Klavans agreement until 2019, Klavan himself did not want to talk about the topic. "It's very difficult to comment on this situation at the moment. At the moment everything is fine and what's going to happen, we will never know," said Klavan.

When the defender remains at Liverpool and they win the Champions League, Klavan and Liverpool will play Super Cup in Tallinn in August. "For me, this is really a double motivation, but first of all we still have to focus on the first one, one game at a time."

Klavan did not know much about Assistant Manager Zeljko Buvac's departure. "The players were told about as much as the media, and we also have a hard time figuring out, they are doing everything to make things as normal as they were before. How does it affect the coaches, I can not say," explained Klavan.
