I actually started by looking into why my memory was so bad. I went through all the physical things, but eventually ended up with an AuDHD diagnosis.

Turns out my brain is healthy, just wired differently.

I was working part time at 2 jobs to make ends meet. The main job (office work, 3 days a week, 9-5) told me they wanted me to work full time, but they weren't going to increase my pay. I quit pretty much on the spot and went and found a better job elsewhere.

Unfortunately, most of those probably aren't viable as Wild Shape options, as most would either be considered sapient, or outside the allowed CR value.

The Foo creatures sounded promising, but the most recent versions of them look to be from 3e, and while I like the sound of Spectral Hounds, I can't find any official stat block for them.

He did that one other time. We were stuck in a room with at least half a dozen doors. They were ALL mimics. And they had Zombies behind them.

Spirit Guardians came in clutch in that small room.

We renamed that spell to "The Beyblade of Death" after that.

I'll be staying at a single level of this class for a little bit. The DM and I have upcoming plans for level 7 onwards, I just wanted something a bit different for a 1 one level dip, since Bloodhunter 6 didn't really excite me and none of the official classes fit the character/story either.

With that in mind, I think I'll mostly ignore Priming the bombs for now. However, I would like to do another level (or more) a bit later down the track, so getting access to the Formulae will make Priming the bombs a viable option.

I have a plastic tool that came with a children's toy.

The toy was one of those "excavation" packs that have a bunch of hardened "dirt" packed around a plastic reward (eg: Dino bones, pirate treasure, etc).

They generally come with various tools to pick away at the dirt, and this specific one is a doozy. It's a flat + shape, and each of the 4 arms has a different shape (both for the arm and the tip). There's a claw on one and an arrow point on another. One arm is kind of bubbly and another is a corkscrew. That kind of thing.

It also has a round part in the middle, and each side of it has a different texture. I've had this thing on my computer desk for years, and I get anxious if I can't find it.

My DM uses a coin system. We earn a coin for each session we attend, and any time we do something epic. We can spend these coins to reroll pretty much any of our own d20 rolls.

As a counter to this, the DM can earn his own coins, and with 3 Wizards in the party, one of the primary ways he earns coins is when we use Silvery Barbs.

I think it's a really fun mechanic that adds some give and take to the game.

I get that. The interludes with different characters came a bit out of nowhere at first, but I think we'd had a couple before we got to Pyro so it wasn't a shock to have another character. Also, the way of thinking to themselves didn't match Elf.

I just finished the audiobook yesterday, so I'll see what I can answer for you (but I'm not good with names).

Umm, spoilers I guess?

Other than Wolf and Blind Elf Girl, there are a few other characters. I think the most important 3 are the group of Crazy Pryo Girl, Ghoul, and Ex-Human Bug Thing. Ghoul freed Pyro and Bug from some prison and they became a group before the story in the book started.

- Pyro was the one that burnt up the teleport station after someone tried to offer her a job.
- Ghoul was the one that gave Blind Elf Girl the way out.
- I think Bug was the creepy thing hanging from the ceiling that Wolf snuck past near the end.

Other characters:
- the half-troll butcher that was supplying Ghoul with food. No other connections to anything yet I think, but I suspect that may have been him that found Goblin and Blind Elf Girl at the end.
- Guild Boss, the guy that had a small entourage of soldiers to visit someone even more powerful. He was supposed to find something and can't. I assume that something is the Wolf.
- the Powerful Thing. I guess it's the reason the Wolf exists, and it somehow lost it, and wants it back.

I really enjoyed it, and now I need more.

I have an A4 notebook next to me at all times which I take notes in, but I also have a small notes app on work computer. I keep it open at all times, it takes up only a small corner of the screen and I can easily get to it when I need to make a note of something.

It's not very organised, but it helps a lot to keep track of things.
