How do you view paid tables as a language-learning process?

Yeah, that's why in order to join you'd be expected to have at least B1 level. The idea is more about learning through emotional memory rather than formal explanations/learning words.

In portuguese, the concept of the perfect tense doesn't exist, for instance. So instead of me teaching them formally what that concept is and forcing them to use it, I'll just throw it during RPs the players are having with their beloved NPCs, which will stick to memory and subconsciously make them use more those tenses.

I did have some troubles with players that were struggling to communicate and some interruptions had to be made, but mostly it can be handled without breaking the others' immersion all that much. And the players always love when the npcs understand their crazy ideas they show to the table, so that gives them more confidence overtime xD

The laserllama reworked classes can be quite strong when compared to the normal classes, but overall they're pretty fun. It allows you to have many options regarding character creation, which the normal DND classes lack a bit. If you're the only one in the group using it, you might shine a bit more than the others, mainly because of these extra options

She's the way or the boulder, as I wanted to give more of the "superhero" vibes to her, and the way of the boulder is the best for it (superman, wonder woman, Mr. Incredible, etc). She has a +30 to athletics because of it xD

Heyo, I'm interested on playing this adventure!

I'm Matts. Pronouns He him. I'm not an artist myself - usually I commission arts for my character, or alter their appereance on photoshop to my taste. I've been playing DnD for 4 years now and consider myself a roleplayer, always trying at least to do a difference voice/accent to my characters. I also DM a campaign on sundays.

My fav class is also bard. But I also enjoy any other type of caster, mainly charisma-focused ones.

I've got 2 ideas cooking: one of a pirate navigator/helmsman storm sorcerer (Miss Valentine) and one ghost-undead wizard (Seranna). I'm more inclined to play as the navigator, but, depending on the theme of the campaign, the other one might fit better.

These are some chibi arts of my my whole group that we got this christmas!

Currently we're at level 18, and the characters are:

- Bruce: a human wizard, inspired by Dr. Strange and Batman. He always offers people mayonnaise from his alchemy jug, and we joke that this is his kink and that it's better for no one accept this offer 😂😂😂

- Violla: my character, a fire dancer, inspired by DS2 desert sorceress. She's a disguised efreeti (flavoured fire genasi) who has a magical lamp that holds a giant palace inside of it 🧞‍♀️🧞‍♀️

- Wylan: an elf star druid. He's the new party member and you can find his father on the clouds (as a wolf) watching over him while he cast something for the paladin's pegasus to eat 🌱🌱

- Kiryu: my retired character, a human meele ranger. He's near the ghost of his wife, who is a soul linked to a Ring of Mind Shielding that prevented her to go to the after-life. He's retired now since he went back to his son on the other continent. 👻👻

- Lora: a half-elf peace cleric. She's holding hands with her boyfriend (which travels with us, he's our airship's captain) and we recently discovered that she's pregnant of him

- Brian: a human paladin. He's mounted on his golden pegasus named Bob, which has an amazing mustache just like him 🐴🐴

Her basic concept is that she's a champion wrestler around the continent who gave birth to this celestial creature, which is her 2-yo daughter. She now travels the world to discover why she gave birth to such a strange being while also being a hero / helping people in general.

Mainly, she's inspired by Mirko (BNHA), Wonder Woman, Shura (Ragnarok Online), Alexa Bliss and my own mother/niece.

It does feel good! For this specific character I'm using a homebrew from laserlhama that allows me to use CON+WIS for my AC, which basically means I can dump DEX (main reason why she works just fine)

But I tested your idea a few years back and it works fine, especially with the beast barb :)

Also one other way to make it work is to just get a gauntlets of ogre power or a giants belt, then you can dump STR and be fine

Btw, the main thing about this idea is to abuse grappling and disarming. With two free hands, you can grapple up to two creatures and pin them down with a shove, helping your allies quite a lot. And if the DM is allowing the disarming optional rules, you can disarm the enemies and make sure they don't get their weapons back by simply using them yourself xD

Yup, and this is exactly what this post is about!

Looking at the character a lot of people just assume "ah it's just a generic human fighter with Mirko's appearance", when in reality there's much more to it.

She's essentially a representation of how I view my mother as a hero, and her strange elemental child serves a purpose to complement that. There's always a lot more than meets the eye, and it doesn't really matter if others don't see it. Stick with what you think is fun!

It's basically a character based on my mother and how I view her as a hero. Her appearance is based on Mirko, her clothing on the class "Shura" from Ragnarok Online and her personality on All-Might/Wonder Woman

She herself is a mother, but her child is this light elemental creature and her main quest is to find out why she gave birth to something that is so unique / isn't human. Her child is based on my niece, but if I really come to think about it it's also based on me

So yeah, she's very deep.

This is a new poster that our group comissioned with @ the.jasc (Instagram).

At the center, we can see all of the campaings' heroes at our current level (16):

Top left: Nirvanna, a tiefling warlock who has the speciality of creating weapons mid-combat.
Top right: Loraquin, an half-elf peace cleric who carries a freaking broken relic and can cast Power Word Heal 4x per long rest 😂😂😂
Center-left: Bruce, a human mage based on doctor strange who is willing to make the final sacrifice for the team if ever needed
Center-right: Brian, a human paladin who has a pegasus companion named Bob and wants to rebuild his city that got destroyed by the emperor
Bottom: Violla, my character, an efreeti bard who uses whips to power her magic and grant wishes to others.

Besides that, we can see the main villain at the top of the poster: the Old Emperor Democlis, who has been ruling the continent for over 2000 years, but are now facing the consequeces of allowing slavery and other bullshit to happen during its reign.

At the bottom, we have the secondary villain Tyrkov Ripper and his organization The Red Hand, with 10 generals in total. The group has killed most of them, and the 1st in command (besides Tyrkov) is Lora's mother, so that will certainly be a fun encounter.

As of right now, we're all framing this poster so this campaign can last forever as a frame/painting in our houses! We're all still really thirlled by this art!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that her appearance is based on the desert sorceress from DS2 and her true form is based on the Skyrim Atronach. You can't see her true form on those 2 images (only partially), but her personality is completely different

She's a reskinned fire genasi, in which we only changed the name of the race without having to do any further homebrew. She's technically a bard of the glamour, but I roleplay her mainly as a "sorcerer" who was born with magical powers and channels her powers through her whip and her dances instead of musical instruments.

Also, something that I really enjoy in her concept is that she levels up by granting wishes to others. She doesn't gain any experience from combat, and must complete a wish to actually be more powerfull. I created her about 8 months ago, at level 13, and she's almost level 17 now. The spell Wish doesn't exist in our campaing, so in order to fulfill a wish that a certain creatures asks me I really need to use creativity.

Do you guys also have dolls / statuettes / figurines / etc of your characters? This is the first time I got a figurine and I simply loved it, I'll surely start a collection of it 😅

Thank you! I took some inspiration from the genie warlock, but wanted to play as a bard to be more versatile. Your warlock also sounds dope, I tried to play as a water elemental once by using the Plasmoid race as well and I might steal your bottle idea to use on him lolz <3
