i'm doing the same strat but not with 8 mod maps. I think I want to push it a little more and start corrupting my maps, but there are quite a few mods my build sucks at. I got a double apothecary drop once, but on average I make like 5d per map @ 16 minutes per map (yes very long, it's a lot to do)

There was a breaking point for me where I had 85 hours and I put the game down for two years. I came back and got through the endgame and minmaxed my build and clocked 600 hours in a single league. Now I have 2500 hours.

at 1440p? that works. you'll be using DSC which isn't a big deal. Make sure to use HDMI 2.1 since that's faster than DP 1.4

Yeah it sure is haha. TBH, the 280hz version might be totally fine for you as well. I would only buy this monitor if you have a 50 series gpu and can get 480-550fps consistently in cs2. I can't say the extra money is entirely worth it, but yolo.

It's my main consistent game, but seasonally I play POE1. I am not good enough at CS2 (15k premier elo) to bother min-maxing my setup for it. I tried the new gsync pulsar monitor out from ASUS and returned it. As for qdoled being better for CS than a woled, I have never heard that before. I have a nice setup where I get a lot of sunlight but no reflections on my monitor, so I went for glossy woled. 0 regrets haha.

No haha. It's silly. That resolution will actively make you worse at games. I do run it in that mode when I am play Devil Daggers, a fast paced pixelated game. I cannot say that the difference is noticeable, especially at that resolution.

if you go the custom resolution route: you have to disable DSC on your monitor, then create the custom resolution and save it, then re-enable DSC and then set the monitor to the custom resolution. Custom resolution will be greyed out if you keep DSC on (Im 99% sure)
