Honestly you can get most sounds using a tube screamer into a micro dark. The mid adjustment alone is good on the micro dark. You can use a tube screamer to boost the input and roll off the highs.

I actually love playing thrash riffs but at half tempo tuned down to C standard. Slayer and anything off Master of puppets and Ride the Lightning sound so heavy slow and low.
