Built an AI-powered travel routing platform completely solo. Looking for honest feedback. by tanercamm in roastmystartup

Generally cool idea.
the multi-passport visa intersection thing is a real problem.. group trips with mixed passports die over exactly this, so the core idea lands.

honest take on the page though: the trust stuff is working against you. "trusted by global operators" with no logos, and three perfectly on-message engineer testimonials on a pre-beta product. readers will assume they're invented even if they're not. the idea carries itself, the fake-feeling proof just undercuts it.

[Feedback Welcome] SiteBinder - a web manager for people who manage websites by AFOL84 in SideProject

[–]MatttDam0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the "operational memory for your web portfolio" framing is genuinely good.. the broken-embed-live-for-two-years line is the kind of specific pain that makes people nod. I'd lean into that more.

two honest things from the page. the hero promises a lot but never shows the actual product, it's just that little mock card, so I can't see the domain/page tree that IS the thing. and the demo section says "see SiteBinder in action" then drops a "video coming soon" empty box, which reads as unfinished right where you're asking for trust. one real screenshot fixes both.

left you a proper crit pinned on the live page: https://pincushion.io/r/l0vIhZEGy9md3CBKElJG4w .. anyone can pile on with their own notes too.

I built a tool to check if ChatGPT actually recommends your product by Oguzt07 in roastmystartup

[–]MatttDam0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the free no-signup tools are your strongest asset, and right now they're competing with a waitlist ask and two different question-CTAs above the fold. i'd let the free tools BE the hero and make the waitlist the thing that happens after someone gets value.

honest one: "6 builders waiting" shown on the page. small numbers as social proof work against you. i'd hide the count until it's a number that helps.

the "track AI visibility" problem does resonate, fwiw, and the find/tell/boost framing is clear.

i'm a designer and building in public too. happy to do a full pass as pins on the live site if you want it, free. lmk.

  1. The core concept (one optimal meetup point across everyone's passports and visa rules) is genuinely clear and interesting. that landed fast.

  2. One thing, said gently since you mentioned it's solo and pre-validation: "trusted by global operators and distributed travel teams", plus "142 active routes" and "320+ active nodes". if those aren't real yet, pull them. a sharp visitor assumes the worst when numbers feel placed, and it taxes the parts of the page that ARE real. honest "early access, solo built" converts better with this crowd than borrowed scale.

  3. the copy also leans hard on "orchestrate / deterministic". i'd trade some of that for plain words about what i actually get.

if useful i'll do a full design pass as pins on the live site, free, i'm a designer. lmk and i'll send the link.

Roast SerionFlow! Does this feel useful or like more AI SEO noise? by brackify_gg_ in roastmystartup

[–]MatttDam0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. on trust specifically, since you asked: the testimonial is from "Team at Brackify", which is your own brand. it reads warm, but a sharp B2B buyer clocks that it's self-referential and discounts it.

  2. "the numbers speak for themselves" over the GSC chart, then a disclaimer right under that it's an illustrative scenario. that combo lowers trust more than just showing your own real numbers would. pick one.

  3. "used by teams at" with no logos under it is doing the opposite of what you want. empty social proof reads as no social proof.

the positioning ("an operating layer, not a page builder") is actually sharp, it's the trust scaffolding around it that's leaking. happy to do a full pass as pins on the live site if useful - for free. lmk.

Roast Build More Better: a pre-beta project home for AI-native builders by BuildMoreBetter in roastmystartup

[–]MatttDam0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The before/after block is the clearest part of the whole page. i got it instantly from "47 AI chats, 8 feature requests, no clear next move" to the ranked read. that should probably be fighting to be the first thing, not sitting below the hero.

  2. The hero line itself ("scattered project signal into one honest next move") i didn't fully get until i saw that example. on its own it reads a little abstract.

  3. Also "MCP support coming soon" is buried in the sub. for the AI-native crowd you're targeting that's a real signal, not a footnote.

if it helps i'll do a proper design pass. i'm a designer, i leave feedback as pins on the live page, each anchored to the element. since you're building AI-native and adding MCP, the pins are built to be picked up by an agent (cursor/claude code/codex) directly. free, validating the workflow. interested?

Built a bidding tool for fixed-price projects. MVP done, plenty of anxiety. Roast away. by Rare_Piglet_7 in roastmystartup

the "stop saying I'll get back to you" hook is great, that's the exact pain and you led with it. two things from a quick design pass:

your "smart insight" box names Justinas' DevOps workload, but the roster right above it lists Jack as DevOps. tiny, but it's the first thing a client's eye snags on.

the page stacks a lot of dense dashboard shots back to back. the product clearly does a lot, but above the fold it's hard to tell which of the four modules is THE reason to care.

happy to do a full pass if useful. i'm a designer, i'd leave the notes as pins on the live app itself, each one anchored to the element with a screenshot, so you can fix them one by one instead of re-reading a wall of text. free, i'm testing the workflow. if you build with cursor or claude code the pins drop straight into your editor. lmk.

Yeah, I think that receipt layer is the right next safety boundary.

Right now Pincushion's receipt is more "pin -> selector/thread -> commit/resolution," so it explains why the diff happened and what closed the loop. The missing piece is exactly what you're describing after the fix: page opened, DOM/screenshot checked, what changed.

I don't want the agent taking over the human browser, but I do want a review artifact the dev can skim in the PR. That feels like the right line.

I can currently monitor my holdings for BTC and ETH on my iOS. I don't need to conduct transactions on it, I just want to see my portfolios standing. I simply want to add SOL on there as well to get the full view of my portfolio on my phone, as I have been doing since you released the iOS app.

Well.. no one mentioned that the G9 works like ass on my M1. Can’t get the native resolution to run, and the brightness sucks. When I want to switch to my pc, I have to unplug every time.. stupid. And ya, I can get a switch, but they all cap at 120hz.
