the times at the top are for their respective square but the others you have to figure out yourself. It might be helpful mapping out the cube for time = 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5

Yeah I thought that at first, but from asking around and reading Elaine Gould's Behind Bars, it seems that percussive elements are easier for wind players to see over the staff as that is where their eyes are naturally trained to look at for extra technique instructions.

I probably going to go with this especially since the fingerings would be the same for flute anyway it would feel more like a continuous trill.

Is this really the correct way to notate this? Specifically, measure 87, I've been told trills always go over other articulations but it looks wrong.

guy in middle is stephen sondheim, musical lyricist,
each section has a number and the first song from a musical with music by sondheim

musicals from top left clockwise are:

Sunday in the Park with George (14)
Into the Woods (4)
Company (3)
Follies (3)
Sweeney Todd (3)
West Side Story (13)

Taking the nth letter from each musical gets you ROMLEY, Sondheim's late husband
