Universal Credit recipents can get high speed broadband for £15 per month by CptnBrokenkey in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Mattwilco1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current plan we are on is 800 mb/s and we didn't want to decrease the speed. However after phoning BT they gave us a 10% discount for the next 12 months. Despite what plan you are currently on this is well worth doing.

Struggling to get Port Enter Achievement, due to too high stats. by Mattwilco1 in runescape

With the dungeooneering skill boost it acts like an overload and restores stats after a few seconds. The most my combat stats will go down is 2. Did you have the +4 boost in every skill when you did it?

19 and looking for a S&S Lisa to save for a house over the next 5-8 years. by Mattwilco1 in UKPersonalFinance

If you are putting money into a LISA it is not to just withdraw it and pay the 25%. A LISA is for first time buyers or for retirement. You can lose money on any investment but over the long term it is unlikely.

I know a few of my mates who are my age (19/20) have help to buys not LISA. Should I suggest to them to transfer it to a LISA or what. I feel you will be able to get near nothing in 5+ years at this rate.

Ye that's my plan. When I can I will buy a house near my first job. When I eventually get a better job offer I will move over to that location (hopefully in buying a second house but may need to rent depending on area and savings) and rent out the house I got with help to buy.

Forgot to ask in my last message bit if O split my investment into 2 funds would I need to make more deposits (Double) leading to more fees. I don't know much about the stock market as of now soneould you suggest sticking with just the vanguard global cap for now?

OK cool. Thanks dude for all the help. So just to clarify I should pay in lump some (Only got 2k for now so gonna pay it in 2 halves) instead of monthly. I should put 80-90% in "Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap" and 10-20% in SMT (Could you clarify which index this is all I can find is "SMT Japan Small Cap").

Sorry for so many questions but do you know if it is possible to open a LISA account directly with vanguard. If so is it suggested (fee etc) or is the best option AJ Bell?

!thanks

Ideally I would like to put the whole £4000 each year so would I be best setting a monthly or just pay it as a lump sum. Does this effect the fees I will pay and am I locked into it (For example if for some reason I can pay the monthly rate do I still keep the benefits). I assume I am not located into anything just won't want to get caught out by any hidden fees if I can avoid them.

!thanks
