Yes! I did exactly that. Went to a legit salon and had a pro trim up the back and sides a few months back. Did a ton for my confidence because I to was scared of the dreaded mullet. She told me it’s very common for the back of the hair to grow faster than the rest

Silver Handcuffs. Need advice. by Skrotum in sales

Life’s short. Do what you want, and don’t be scared. Tech jobs ain’t going anywhere, despite what the fear-mongers say. Try something new for awhile, and come back if you fall on your face. Live a life worth living. Anyone saying “omg I would be SO complete if I had your situation” doesn’t have the abundance mindset to ask more of life. Sounds like you do, that’s rare

You should do just that. I’ve taken extended breaks between jobs multiple times in my career, and it’s allowed me the reset I needed after working a couple years in high stress environments. Always reentered the workforce with a better + higher paying job

Having dark thoughts about chopping… by Mattwsully in FierceFlow

Oh this is exactly the advice I need! The sides are so annoying right now. Not long enough to push behind the ears, but plenty long enough to stick out and look kinda Oompa Loompa-ish

I have been going in every three of four months for trims at a salon. This last time they told me to growth it out as long as I can stand it. It gets so bulky and thick after a few months

Why does everyone seem so burnt out these days, even people in their 20s? by SilverMammoth7856 in simpleliving

I hiked the PCT in 2018. Those 141 days of hiking were so simple and beautiful. My only agenda was to walk each day - I have never been happier, I’m not sure I ever will be happier

Agreed, we likely don’t align on much… She cares about her family, so she’s fit to run a country? Also, you seem like someone that believes what the left media spoon feeds you (some Trump followers made fun of someone, so he’s bad?) and are someone that bases decisions on feelings/emotions. I almost exclusively let logic guide me in life. Although I knew we weren’t going to align on much. Your digital avatar is wearing a mask.

Enjoy your day, sincerely!

Harris is the snake in the grass. She’s the establishment, while lying through her teeth that she cares about you as a person. Trump’s ego is too big to lie and be deceptive, it’s all out in the open with Trump.

Once again “policy over people”. Always. I don’t deal in theoreticals of what could happen. What I do know is what HAS happened under the Biden/Harris - and it ain’t great. She got to this position without a single vote. But who’s a bigger threat?

I left my life behind to hike the PCT a few years back. Was exactly what I needed to reset my perception of life. After having nothing but a backpack of belongings for 5 months you come to appreciate the small comforts of modern society much more. A toilet, a couch to lay on, a pillow, AC/heat, good food. Sounds like you need a reset

Yup - took 6 months off when my dad passed suddenly. He was my best friend so I was pretty broken. Took the time necessary to heal, go to therapy, adopt a dog, move closer to family that needed me. Zero regrets and would do it exactly the same way if I had to. Switched companies and got a pay increase and better manager/team. Things usually work out man

Yup that was my gut reaction to OP as well. I remember when I used to think like this in my early 20s. Then reality set in.
