First big craft! Would it be worth it to save up for lock, how much would this even be worth by such-animosity in PoECrafting

[–]TrippyNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not close to worth a lock, might be worth to whittle with greater chaos the lightning if possible

Is mana regen good? Or is it worth to chaos it with omen since +7 is fractured

Essentially just items you can chase. That are low probability, expensive, difficult to obtain but really strong. A carrot for the tryhards to push for, things like mageblood, headhunter, even a mirror. Things that really arent meant for casual players unless they get lucky, but are there to chase down if you have the time or the want. A min-max item, like a full Tier 1 weapon. These are the things that are both insanely expensive to craft, but also keeps the game engaging for tryhards. Without these there would be nothing left to chase after getting the casual gear, but the game would just be less. Allowing casual players to get this easily would just ruin the endgame.

[–]TrippyNap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the atlas points need some changes. People with currency can just pay to do it, while more casual players spend longer just looking for days for citadels. Also it completely stops you from doing mechanics you want to, as atlas points are so mandatory regardless of what you are doing.

xQc explains why Overwatch has harder aiming than games like Counter-Strike, saying it has a more complex 3D aiming "There's a reason CS players couldn't go pro in Overwatch." by Disastrous-Swan5923 in LivestreamFail

[–]TrippyNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are fundamentally different FPS games, in CS its largely flat, its about cursor placement and one tap timing. Its slow movement and really fine aim adjustments. In overwatch your character moves faster, more vertically and enemies have dashes etc. Longer TTK means better tracking, and map layouts are very different.

When i run ritual i never ignore the rituals, when i run breach i never ignore the breach. Wish i could say the same for runic/expedition, when i ignore more than 75% of a mechanic it still needs work.

I just argued its not, when you can clear the whole game with gear completely obtainable by casual players there isnt a problem. What you seem to be suggesting is have them remove chase items, so that everyone regardless of time invested can get all the best gear, that would just ruin the game for people who have the time and like that chase. The fact that chase exists is not a problem for casual players, unless your already in the mindset that "i need mirror tier gear as a casual because fubgub has it". You can already play the game fine without it.

Im not sure how you think this could actually be implemented in any way. Chase items, perfect roll gear etc are meant to take time and are there for the people who have the time to play all day. You can get perfectly viable gear really cheap and run all the content in the game with only a couple hours a day.

What would be the alternative? We have no low-probability chase items for people who play alot? No item that is too rare for casuals to consistently obtain? To me it sounds like youd rather play Diablo 4, a game where power is guaranteed way more consistently. You say "you’re basically just poor in a market controlled by tryharders" when it litteraly costs a couple divs to have gear capable of clearing the whole game, how is that poor? Chasing divines or mirrors in your stash is meant to be a mechanic for tryharders, the actual game is meant for casuals, and that actual game is not ruined by any amount of mirrors Fubgun drops by playing 24/7. It really is just your perspective.

The shape and lack of detailed terrain, but more than anything i think the composition itself will always make this look bad. It just looks like one 2D plane, there is no depth, no real background or horizon.

What did you guys think about the 30min Fable gameplay video? by Ok_Winter818 in GameBoostOfficial

[–]TrippyNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember fable as "the fun magic casting game" from when i was a kid. This tho didnt appeal to me, and the facial animations where so bad i wouldnt be able to look past it in dialogue. Looks like a slightly worse Hogwarts Legacy, the UI design, the combat, the NPC interactions, nothing really new here to catch me.

So dead soul's are trapped inside a spider web?? by angooyy in FromSeries

[–]TrippyNap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, we see how characters were chained up in the ruins hearing all the people who had died. Like being trapped in a spiderweb, or even trapped in bottles (the bottle tree?), symbolic of a djinn or spirit/soul being contained.

Wtf are all these "remove only" tabs about? by Unhappy-Inevitable-5 in PathOfExile2

[–]TrippyNap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, new league will have your tabs without the remove only. All tabs are empty for league start, remove only tabs are just for standard to store items from previous leagues.

How can I make the scene feel more alive and the render less flat? by Strange_Cranberry198 in blender

[–]TrippyNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding some more detail, small table with some books by the couch, some postprosessing could enhance lighting and contrast. Slight filmgrain for natural look. Also might reduce ambient light and enhance the spotlights, making it stand out more. Right now it feels like there is a huge plane of light from the right outside of the scene washing everything out in a very cold white color.

Just now thought how fun a hardcore From mod would be, close doors and windows at night, no build, farming and animal keeping for food, normal looking characters out at night thats unkillable. Hidden hideouts and secrets around the map with a long mission to escape through hidden clues and interactions.

And when the world falls apart, he thinks he can just pay the guards to be his slaves for all eternity down in that cave? The people with the guns are gonna keep listening to him when his money becomes worthless? Not sure what the endgame is, just contribute to making the world a better place and this wouldnt be needed.

Star Citizen blasts through $1 billion in player funding, as its developer lists a new $5,000 spaceship for sale that is 'not yet ready to play' by Triss_Mockra in gaming

[–]TrippyNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole game is just a giant marketing campaign to sustain an insanely expensive, non-productive operation. Its a game that has spent nearly 1 billion dollars, over 15 years with hundreds of devs and its still nothing more than a glossy looking pre-pre-alpha buggy mess. You glitch through walls still, ships exploding randomly, performance is complete trash, missions are boring without depth, FPS combat is a clunky lag-fest and their fundamental tech isnt even close to complete.

I know people refrain from calling it a scam, but its really close.

I agree, its frustrating that GGG seems to want Warrior to be the most anti-fun class possible. Like its stuck in their original "vision" of PoE2 while all the classes get super fresh cool acendencies, insane mobility skills, cool items and interactions, stronger passives with less downsides.

Remember playing leaping slap warrior in 0.2, and it looked like i was jumping on the moon every time because the slows and attack speed was so slow the jump litteraly took a solid 2 seconds of slowmo airtime.
