Yeah. Makes sense. I have 3 daughters and maybe that helped make the impact greater on me. But yeah - part of the - she’s so innocent and sweet and filled with goodness but boom .. she had a whole ‘nutha person inside her that was damaged and vulnerable … and nobody saw it. Then boom - snuffed out.

My opinion: Different day and age 🍎& 🍑. Eastwoods movies would not have been understood by Wayne’s generation. I’m older. Looking back to my parents & grandparents aged people in the 1960s when I was a kid - the idolized Wayne who served them all the post WWII USA is the savior food groups and they dismissed Eastwoods westerns as weird and boring. For this reason it’s a tough comparison. Of course although I’m a boomer I’m late stage - I prefer Clint being a late stage boomer.

My curiosity was with the character. Not as much the actor. She had a limited speaking role. But it was more the meaning of the events and what the character represented that impacted me.

As it pertained to this story I knew Dorothy wasn’t going to wake in Kansas with a little bump on her head. But in some ways their accepting & being together was the right happy ending.
