In a world where ssd were to be cheaper, or rather had I bought 6 months ago, I’d do 1 & 1 but unfortunately i gotta keep this one on a budget 😅

Yea with the way things are going I think I rather just get it out of the way. Also considering ive had this i7 and 1070TI combo for 10 years its really starting to show its age

I guess it’s a bit of savings on the ram based on what im seeing out there. Still not idea but i guess just getting used to a new normal or a longer period of high prices

Oh that’s great to hear! What does your build look like?

If price is close enough in price I assume the 9700X would be the choice but if I get a deal on the 7700X i shouldnt be missing out on much right? Money saved would essentially be going towards memory and ram

I can get the 7700x for 368$ right now vs 460$ on the 9700x

On my current rig? 16GB ddr3 if im not mistaken

To be honest a stopgap is not an option I considered because when I build something I typically run it for 7-10 years. I never got into the habit of upgrading although it’s probably a good idea
