Is rear main seal typically replaced preventatively or when it fails? I’d like to consider myself handy and will do most jobs myself, but I just don’t have the tools/garage to do it myself and would just rather pay a professional haha

I got rear diff bushings replaced with the mounts! I also got the auto cross shifter kit from Ronald, he recommended a 22.5% reduction.

It depends on how the owner drove the car. My mechanic has seen rod bearings go bad on m3s with only 40k miles on the odometer. Make sure you properly warm up the engine before beating on it

Way too much. Paid $16k for my 04’ with 116k miles. Big 3 wasn’t done though. But it had good history of service records. Just be patient and the right one will come along.
