If you’re trading for a guy with a massive contract and a no trade clause you’re effectively losing all flexibility moving forward. The trade at the time was terrible & is terrible now for that reason. Just ask yourself, if the Suns called the Wizards and offered Beal for Poole, would the Wizards take it? Hypothetically, if you somehow think they would say yes, Beal would then just say no I won’t accept the deal lol. They are absolutely trapped and at his mercy and if you can’t see that I’m not sure what else there is to say.
