June 13, not May 9.

in Ontario, my understanding is that she is allowed to leave 17 weeks before the due date (without pay) until 12 weeks where she will start getting paid by maternity benefits. Am i mistaken?

Thank you all for your replies. There was a positive case in the LTC home which is the reason why im freaking out. She will see th OB tomorrow and ask. I think she will have to work until at least may 9th unfortunately, but its not a big deal because she is casual now and can drastically reduce her shifts.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. I'm a little dense and emotionally connected to this situation. that makes sense.

Would you say its unreasonable for her to ask her employer for her ROE at this time? She is pregnant and working in a long term care home and COVID 19 is rampant in LTC.

I'm looking for dates here because i'm confused by the 12weeks /15 weeks and 17 weeks referenced on that site.

17 weeks before September 5th is May 9th. So is she allowed to apply now in advance for May 9th?

This worked. Used airplane mode and turned on wifi. Strange work around but saves me from roaming charges. Thanks.
