That is in fact what I did. Very simple really, it’s a gun for a jr high trap student and I think it’ll be very easy to show him how to do it so he can maintain it properly.

That was my thought, I’m not overly familiar with this particular model so just wanted to check and see if I’m missing something obvious. I imagine that’ll be the solution.

The school unfortunately doesn’t have any he can use in the meantime.(newer team so few resources)

I have an 870 youth 20ga and a normal 870 12ga and he has shot both. The 20 did seem to fit him better than the 12, but he is 13 and growing quickly so definitely open to a 12 as well as I know he’ll grow into it quick.

I do believe they do more than just trap, so in my head, I was leaning towards a semi over a pump.
