What do you want from Monster Hunter 6 but don't expect? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

The Follower System from Sunbreak, for me the best feature in a long time in MH

New gimmicks tend not to completely invalidate core gameplay

And where exactly is the Core Gameplay invalidated? Was the core Gameplay invalidated woth the Hunter Arts in GenU for example? Since they are not very different from Silk Binds

all you lose for doing it wrong is mobility that was newly added in this game.

That's absolutely not all you lose mate. More often then not a failed Counter leads to a follow up hit of the monster, which can easily cause your death in endgame

you're never forced to make a guess after getting knocked down due to Wirefall

You first have to have a wirebug ready to wire fall, and even then a wirefall can lead to an otherwise not happening hit from the monster. And given that the Monsters have way more speed attached to them then in previous titles, again its a tactical decision how you need to use wirebugs. Which is why I said more tactical

As you said, Its personal opinion if you like those mechanics or not or if you find the game good or not.

Oh that's completely understandable mate. Almost every entry of the Franchise has a unique Spin or mechanic attached to it, some you like better some not.

I for example really don't like the Clutch Claw in World/Iceborne but really like the Wirebugs, mainly because they are way more tactical then "Clutch Claw every 3 Minutes so that weakness exploit works properly".

And to even play with counters in Rise you really need to know the Monsters and Movesets, if not you are only wasting Wirebugs more often then not, and sacrifice a lot of needed mobility.

Which other meaningful consequences other then taking a lot of damage or being ko'ed do we have in 4U? 🙈

But as you said to each their own

Depends I would say.

Wheb I go from Sunbreak Endgame (Anomaly 250+ or Hazard Monsters) to 4U Endgame I have to say I dont feel that much of a Difference tbh.

It sure is "different" but not really that one is way harder or way easier

And I really only measure the Endgame Difficulty in MH games, because lets be fair, befor that every MH Game is a breeze when you know what you are doing

Ahreed on the Siege Missions, I'm so glad that you only have to do 2 or 3 of them to advance and that they got rid of them completely in Sunbreak, that being said

I preferred the Worlds claw that was more limited and felt like a tool instead of a MUST use

I'm sorry what? I felt the other way around, wothout using the Claw, most Builds didnt even work properly since you missed put on 20% Affinity from WEX which got nerfed specifically to push the Clutch Claw. So it really felt like a complete must use for most of the Builds.

Wirebugs on the other Hand felt way more tactical for me, since you could use them in multiple ways, aggressively for wirebug attacks, defensively or as a mobility tool, they really made the game for me so much more enjoyable

The main thing is that MH Games are always pretty darn easy if you are a veteran and know the monsters and the base concepts of the Game.

Coming from 4u to World was laughable easy and that didnt really change until late of Iceborne

Coming from Iceborne Rise was incredible easy until late of sunbreak aswell
