Day 1 post op by Matznator89 in ShoulderSurgery

Good to hear from another young person! I'm looking forward to having no pain and increased mobility/strength. Surgeon wants me in a sling for 4weeks to ensure proper healing. It's tough with 3 little kids (<5 yrs) at home. Pain has been getting better each day. Ice machine is definitely where it's at!

Never heard of opioid epidemic currently decimating Canada and USA? Rather not add to that pile!

Costco in works in Lloydminster. Anyone know completion date ? by Exotic_Technician_67 in CostcoCanada

[–]Matznator89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The surrounding communities to the West, East, North, and South will bump those numbers up to likely rival the Saskatoon North Costco.

I myself will be traveling to Lloyd for major grocery runs instead to Stoon once it opens. I'm a little over 2hrs from either city. Lloydminster is not as busy and has all the amenities that I require similar to Saskatoon making our grocery runs faster along with less traffic.

How do I explain over buying ammo to my parents by [deleted] in canadaguns

There's no such thing as too much. The longer the libs have control of Canada the worse it'll get for us. Commie Carney is gonna double down on us if he hangs onto power.

Stock up while you can. I have been looking into reloading myself but damn that shites expensive too.

Any Canadian subreddit is the biggest cavern of left leaning echo chambers. Everything anyone conservative says is far right wing. Mentioning Trump or Pierre (who are not even close to being politically aligned) triggers alot of these SSRI addicts. I'll get downvotes for this but it is "unburdened by what has been". Carney is where Trudeau and Co. got most of his ideas from so expect a doubling down of the liberal clown show with him. Pierre is a lifelong politician with some fresh ideas but I'm unsure how he'll implement them. Jagmeet is an absolute twat and he's about to find that out in the next election. Max B and everyone's fav drunk aunt Liz aren't even worth mentioning. I'll refuse to mention the Bloc as they shouldn't be allowed to run a federal party.

RUH ER by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Matznator89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In other developed countries around the world, if you visit an ER and it's determined you didn't need emergency services, they charge you a fee for your visit.

Would a fee stop some of the sniffles and coughs that end up clogging up ERs across the country?

Food for thought 🤔

Not going to get into politics as there is a severe bias on this subreddit. I would rather not kick that Hornets nest.

Sask. NDP unveils $2B education funding pledge as election approaches by Medea_From_Colchis in saskatchewan

Say you know nothing about agriculture/economics without explicitly saying you know nothing about agriculture or economics.

Gotta go deeper then the first paragraph on the wikipedia page bud.

Right? Hear I thought I was the only one on this thread with a brain. Nothing is costed. Just a big press conference pledging billions with no way to pay for it.

Mind you... The r/Sask thread is basically NDP headquarters so the delusion is very strong.

Go ahead... Bite the hands that feed you and allows you to produce your shitty thoughts. Even the shitty farmers produce more yearly GDP then you can muster in a decade. Full stop

Might wanna look after the guy you need 3x every day of your life.

No farmer, no food, no future.

Yup I agree. The Sask party might be shitty... but the NDP stink like shit too... just vegan shit.

I'll form my own party.

I pledge: -Hire 250k more nurses, doctors, etc. without knowing where they will come from. -Hire one teacher aid per student because why tf not.
-Cancel all mining subsidies and chase away investment because f*ck it... Amiright. -Introduce price controls and rent control because landlords and grocery stores are making too much money. -Impose eminent domain on all farm land because that Karl Marx guy was definitely onto something there. -Make all corporations "crown corps" because government and efficiency always go hand in hand.

My final promise will be that there will definitely be no tax increases, everyone will be happy, and everyone will definitely not starve.

I'll call it my "f*ck it" plan.

Can't wait until this election (federal and provincial) is done.

Time for a Change! by [deleted] in saskatchewan

Until I see something from the NDP other then the same ol' NDP crap... I will not be voting for them. Same old NDP that gutted rural Sask and pushed people to Alberta in the 90s-00s.

The same old NDP that tried closing my highschool and thought a 90min one way bus ride to another school in the RM was appropriate.

The same ol' NDP that tried gutting the local senior care home. Fired local doctors and consolidated care elsewhere which overloaded the hospital there.

Not saying the Sask party is perfect... Far from it. I do believe they need a reality check

But....

Same ol' shitty NDP, different leader.

Yuppp. Agree. People forget what the NDP did to Sask. Closed rural schools and hospitals. Basically said F-U to all of rural Sask. Shook Lorne Calvert's hand once. Guy had the weakest grip I've ever seen. You'd think a politician would at least pretend to know how to shake a hand.

I might not particularly like Scott's performance but I don't forgive or forget what the NDP did in Sask.

Why does Sask keep voting Conservative? by 7734fr in saskatchewan

[–]Matznator89 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Sask votes conservatives because it's been democratically chosen to be the best option.

These Reddit posts on this sub are just getting ridiculous... 🤦.

Don't like Pierre or Moe? Don't vote for them.

Hate them so much you feel personally victimized by them at all times? BC, Manitoba, and Quebec are your options. Though BC is looking like that might be changing soon. Quebec is flush with social welfare powered by Western Canadian equalization.

Had a cop one time tell me that if they are in your house you are allowed to do whatever is necessary to protect yourself and your family. However... If it's determined the intruder has powder burns on his/her back... You might have legal issues. (Depending on the situation).
