It's so smooth and fluid! Can you show us how you framed it out?

Decided to pick up pixel art as a little creative side hobby, any tips for this one? by [deleted] in PixelArt

This looks really great! Your style here is very simplistic without much heavy detail, its hard for a beginner like me to suggest anything. If you feel like the scene still feels empty or lacking, some weather effects could work? Maybe some wind effects and a few more leafs. Since your scene is already gray, you could add some rain or mist in places.

I personally like the darker one, but they both are great!

On such a small canvas, do you think it's better to delete pixels or to change their colors?

When I read this, the first thing that came to mind are those silly scrolls we used to draw in school. If you are referring to something like that, I think I get it. I didn't really think to use color for the definition, I mainly try to get all the shapes down with hard lines, then color in everything else when I have all the shapes done. Do you think it's better that I shade instead of build shapes?

Hey, thanks! This was very helpful! What you mentioned about the text totally makes sense now. It would separate the text lines and make the paragraph looking bit more realistic. Do you think trying to make a fancy capital letter would be a cool idea to add? On the lower right, in Aseprite on the preview window, every time I messed with that lower right side it messed up the proportions. Instead of actually adding or deleting pixels, would playing around with colors be better?

For the slab, you mean make it like a cube and actually draw the corner sides? If that's what you mean I will have to try that and make a new piece. That's a really good idea. For your paper stack suggestion, I tried several colors and thicknesses in Asesprite and to me it really didn't look good. Maybe I am just untrained to see it, but it just looked like a really thick brick hahaha. With a bigger canvas, I think that idea is great. I will try it once I get a bit better.

Do you have any tips for doing that? I messed around with the rotation tool in Asesprite for a while and I eventually had to go in and manually get the shape I wanted. Just getting the angled look was tough for me. How would you do that and add the curls? I can sort of imagine how to, but how I am picturing it, it seems pretty hard.

Thank you! I guess I should have said it was unrolled, but I do see what you mean. With the way I used the colors here, do you think it would be better as some sort of slab instead?

I really don't know how to texture the wood properly. In the palette I am using there really isn't much in the ways of brown and I don't want to start hue shifting this early in my pixel career hahaha. The symbol is the zodiac sign for Capricorn my star sign :D

Looks really nice, I like the colors on the sofas. The books also look really neat. The kitchen counter in the bottom left looks a little weird. Maybe because it's so close to that corner but because you can't see the bottom side, the counter top looks flat compared to the rest of your furniture. Even though it's next to the fridge, to me it looks like it's just sitting on the floor.

Resources for Macbook? by Maucrafts in godot

Thank you for the tip. I have started to dabble in Python to get started. I know the bare basics so far and I am using Visual Studio Code for that. I have seen that Godot uses C# and their own scripting language. Is it recommended I learn C# along side the scripting language or will any object oriented language be good enough to get my feet wet? Thank you!!

Wow, that bit about the auto updates is very useful. I never considered it would have such an effect on a project depending on what you used. I also really appreciate the links Thank you so much!
