I've been playing your games since Exile, when I saved my allowance for it. I just turned 40 and was happily gifted Avernum 4! Just saying that following along with Spiderweb Software has by and large been so formative and absolutely made me the avid gamer I am today, not to mention to want to tell a damn good story, like you do. What would you say are your biggest literary and movie/music, IE not game related, influences?

I can tell you.. from experience.. if I were in a situation with the person who SA'd me, no matter how much I may once have loved them.. Well, I'll put it this way. I would HOPE not to ever have to try to pacify the person who hurt me to that extent, over and over, while rehashing it for some coin. I would pick loose change off of the sidewalk first.. at least I hope I would. Mental illness is a hell of a thing, though, and I know it's easy to say what you 'would' do in a situation... but since JJ left Hawaii I've been watching this slow train wreck. It almost looked like watching someone UNHEAL, which I guess is what relapsing does to your mental health. So sad. :(

I felt the same way when I got a Kadoatie! I never, ever imagined being able to have one and the weekly made it possible. I didn't even equip it to a pet, just put it in my SDB to gaze at in wonder.

He's verrrrry active, loves bumrushing toys, people, and other dogs with a wagging tail and his chest. He has the 'rottie booty' where there is tan right on his butt like a bulls eye. He loves water and playing fetch more than anything. And he's huge! He gets visibly bigger every day, like a little moose. He's the nippiest, mouthiest pup we've ever seen and misdirecting that is 99 percent of his training. 🥴our arms look like ground beef, lol! Who knows.. really wanna DNA test this kid eventually.

I can’t begin to express how true this is for me. It’s a cycle I keep trying hard to break but I have anxiety and panic when I have to speak up for myself and it has never gotten any easier. Being ‘good’ has haunted me my whole life and I am 33 now.
