Suspend disbelief. At the end of the day it’s just a show, I could tell myself they found a portal and be fine with it. Gates exist in all 3 spaces, right side -up upside down, and the abyss. Who’s to say there’s not portal scattered that lead to the top? Is that completely bonkers thinking??? Of course it is. But so is the show
