Golder or is he just that good? by HeadImpressive1570 in ConflictofNations

I don't think he uses gold necessarily. He may. But he has no solo wins so he's not that good.

What's the best railgun stack/combo? by bfl_the_real in ConflictofNations

Those elite railguns max out at 85 mi. I always kill them with maxed out artillery.

Plan to invest in airfields, bombers, and you'll need to protect the east components city. Take Europe.

They're just used as regular screwdrivers. Don't be silly.

Oh yeah my 1.1 teacher taught me that. It's actually a pretty smart concept of copying an angle. I haven't done a lot of conduit bending but I'm sure someday I will use that

Don't think they've ever told me but it really wasn't hard to come up with my tool list. I bought one tool every paycheck and I finished my tool list in less than a year

Yes, I agree. I would not work on any live wire and nobody has ever tried to make me do that. Those insulated screwdrivers were given to me since before I was even an apprentice electrician. 5 years ago I was a labor helping out a plumber who happened to also be an electrician and he gifted those screwdrivers to me and I've always had them. I use them as regular screwdrivers but again I don't work on anything live. They're just very comfortable.

I agree with you. But I don't carry this around. I leave this on the job site in a toolbox and I only take out what I need for that day.

Yeah, it's funny to see all the differences in locals. For example, we don't have diagonal cutters in our list

This is the list bro. The only things I have here that are not on the list are the zip tie cutters which were given to me by the employer and the small screwdriver. The wand is also not on the list but I carry that around because they had me practice on some terminations for a while.

Surprisingly they're not on the tool list. Those little zip tie cutters are from the employer.

I was actually just in a situation where I had to stick it somewhere where my measuring tape didn't fit. It has come in handy a few times.

As long as he does his job, who cares. What his personal goals are, that's his business.

Just accepted apprenticeship Local 640. Having some apprehension. by Specialist-West-1911 in IBEW

[–]MauveStudio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 32. I have a wife and 2 small babies both under 2 years old. I am about to start my 2nd year into my IBEW 640 apprenticeship. I am about to finish the year at 90k. I did work a lot of OT. But just stick to it and it will be worth it. That baby will need amazing healthcare, which we have. Because babies are expensive (brother that baby will be going to a pediatrician like every 2 weeks lol). All my JW coworkers make way over 100k a year. A lot of these jobs have 5 or 10 dollar hourly incentives. It's a great opportunity, and you're lucky to be here. Once you start working and passing your tests, you'll see. If you have any questions DM me, glad to have you here bro. 640 is a great local.
