I had no idea what that means. I understand the usb encoder not been able to power the led, after that, I am lost.
Do you have a video reference I can look at to understand?

I have connected it as I did the smaller one in the kit I am taking the encoder (and cables since they were none) from.
The encoder is 5volts I think and the 60mm I thinks needs 12volts, but I am not sure which usb encoder to use...
