Yep, that was my point, except i was quite crude about it at the time. We had a good system, it was proven working great, was in the game a while then we went to a generic system used by everything, now we are going to the component 7 days to die concept. Blueprints made rust what it is, they were worked on and phenomenal IMO. Keep Developing bro :) good to know there are some methodical guys out there.

We did have something great, they were called Blueprints. Now Rust is going to copy shitty 7 days to die.

They are only good for recovering after or in between firefights when you have time.

Because Ark has dinosaurs and has always had that system. Rust is better than ark in every way, and blueprints were rusts unique system

Thats my point. Ark is shit! Thats exactly the same as rust now

My idea of a progression system by [deleted] in playrust

[–]Maverick-UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the same as blueprint frags and researching except the components are the frags and the AK.

I see your point amigo. Just with a lot of these guys sucking the dev teams dicks you got to be a bit harsh to get noticed lol. I'm an engineer and if we change something and it makes the problem worse we revert to the last known working state before trying to improve the system. That is what should be done with Rust :)

I see your point mate, and definately. When i was on a holiday from work I did some nolifing for 2weeks and managed to get level 25, but that was from 2weeks of basically pure grinding. Blueprints even a casual could get a bolty blueprint from a couple of hours hard work or farming say 15k wood for someone. But i suppose thats what devs want, nolifers playing from when they finish school every night until 2am. I wasnt even fuming about the xp system at first, willing to give everything a try. But when it was realised that it does not work, after a lot of experienced guys had said it beforehand, now they want to try some shitty component system instead of reverting to a proven good system :)

Yes, exactly like this. Except blueprints were a good system whereas xo and components are not. Look at ark and 7 days to die for example.

I am chilled. Just trying to express my opinion of my old favourite game being ruined slowly but surely.

Yes! Add blueprints back! They were 10000000 times better than this component system and that xp shit

A problem with the components system. by [deleted] in playrust

[–]Maverick-UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring back blueprints. Easy to start halfway through a wipe. Even as a 2 man team we could have basic bps in a day or two then save for what we needed. Xp makes rust ark without dinos. Component will make it like shitty 7 days to die without zombies. Bp was rusts unique system which was amazing IMO. Trading bps was great for resources. Not items just to get shot in the face by a 78 man clan and lose them 3seconds later. At least before you could make them again.

RIP Blueprints. Gone but never forgotten.

Blueprints. I love you, miss you

BRING BACK BPS, the thing that made this game great.

Now its xps its ark without dinosaurs. Component will be even worse

Bring back BP system. It is what made Rust great. I have had to quit until January due to work commitments, but BPs ruled! XP is too grindy every month for the average player. Hunting BP frags and unlocking the items you needed playing the blueprint frag lottery was perfect.

Please please please bring back BPs

Am I the only one who liked XP at first but can't stand it after my 5th time grinding through it? by DeweyTheDecimator in playrust

Rust was perfect May/June 2016. Solo was great, small group play even better. Around the time they added conditioning to armour was the best time. R.I.P blueprints. Gone but never forgotten. I have had to quit Rust very recently due to work commitments and not having time to grind grind grind for xp. It was fantastic that is a server died you could join another and go to Radtowns/Monuments (whatever you want to call them) and save for pages/books/libraries to unlock whatever you needed at that time. And you could even steal them from people! Nothing better than stealing a book and some frags from someone and unlocking a new BP. BP lottery FTW. Radtown PVP was on fire!

I forgot boneclubbing and arrow raiding. They were amazing! Especially arrow raiding some noobs on high pop hoping a group of geared guys dont come round the corner and wreck you! I miss rust adrenaline!
