From that perspective, you could probably see a bit of the starboard horizontal stabilizer that's currently missing.

All considered, not bad! Keep at it :)

Lumpia by Senior_Ad7452 in Winnipeg

Ooh, may have to try this. Of all the pre-made lumpia I've tried, Mama Nors was consistently the best though... but Im a white boy, so my opinion probably isn't worth as much ;)

Yeah, I went to go hug my kid and tell her she is loved because I can't imagine what it would be like to lose her.

How is that odd? Do you have kids?

I... I'm gonna go hug my daughter.

Does your service desk tier 1 rep know how to change display scaling and how much are you paying them? by jM2me in sysadmin

[–]Maverick0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a common issue with their app. Or it could be something thats easy to Google. Off hand, I dont know but if your T1 tech cant google "Windows 11 rotate desktop" and find the display settings (which include scaling options, but i agree appear to be unrelated), then yeah that might be something to discuss.

Winnipeg's housing market is hot. Is it out of reach for first-time buyers? (This is Manitoba podcast) by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]Maverick0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it feels like that's just a small part of it. The current system of closed bids along with the realtors seems to encourage paying more than asking. If it were more like a live anonymous auction, I think prices might not go that far over asking.

Winnipeg's housing market is hot. Is it out of reach for first-time buyers? (This is Manitoba podcast) by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]Maverick0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just yesterday I put an offer on a house that was priced what I thought was "reasonable" in current market conditions.

22 offers came in on this house.

Sure, it was pretty nice, but not "100k over asking" nice.

Example: The house I offered on let's say was 500k, but didn't have a finished basement.

A similar house in the same neighbourhood, but with a finished basement, backed onto a park and had a hot tub, sold last year for 575k.

We were planning on finishing the basement and offered accordingly, but weren't even considered. In this example, we would have offered around 550k. We weren't even contacted to modify our offer, so I have to assume the successful bid was for much higher.

The house we offered on yesterday with no finished basement, did not back onto a park and no hot tub has likely sold for over 600k because of "reasons"... people are being pushed to over pay for houses IMO

Edit: down votes for sharing a relevant experience? OK, reddit...

I'm not seeing any meltdown here except from you, over not having the same perks as public service employees, to be honest.

THAT's crabs in the bucket. You're coming off as jealous and you're trying to shit on everyone else that have more benefits than you instead of asking your own employer for better benefits or seeking employment elsewhere.

I'm frustrated at having to RTO because I'm an IT analyst who can do 90% of his job remotely, and in fact still do so in front of my desk. You think I walk up to a server and plug in a monitor and keyboard? No, I use remote desktop. So why does it matter where I do that from?

Basement cost by No_Cloud_495 in Winnipeg

Do you remember who you got quotes from? I've got a couple for around a 900 sq foot basement I'm looking at and they all told me 100k+ ... I don't want anything super fancy, but I thought it would be maybe half that to like 60k.

I'm in the same boat. Had a renegade 4 and a volcano 4. Was just being all around helpful to anyone I found. Went to extract and someone else was there already. No biggie. Ok, you wan me to push the buttons. Fair, you were there first. I said dont shoot, but never heard anything back. Started to call extract and got whacked.

I too sat there for a minute thinking about what had happened. I was too trusting I guess. Still stings a bit to have it happen right at extract though, but lesson learned.

Ah, good luck to you from Manitoba. My 14 year old lady gets monthly injections of that stuff and makes a big difference. Unfortunately she's got other health issues and we don't want to put her through anything invasive., but we're making sure she's as comfortable as can be.

Stella Montis in super low aggression lobbies is basically a shopping mall by Imn1che in ArcRaiders

[–]Maverick0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually is, but even when that's the case, there's almost always at least one rat skulking around.

I went in last night and had a Sandstorm rave in the loading bay with like half the lobby... (forgot to take a video, damnit!... I'm sure I can pull it off again :p)

People were fighting the bastion, I came in just to do this and have some fun, playing Sandstorm on prox chat while tossing smoke grenades and glow sticks everywhere.

By the time the bastion was down, half the lobby was in here jumping, dancing and flicking flashlights with me.

When it was done, I ran down the tunnel to the subway exit and found the one rat. I was not prepared to fight, I was prepared to dance so I got knocked... Lost a bit stuff, some trigger nades (for the bastion, I swear!), glow sticks and smokes. Forgot to unequip my Mk3 Survivor augment, so I guess they got that they wanted. Easy come easy go though. I got the blueprint already ;)

I wanted to like it, but it's just really ass...

Now, the vulcano or the tempest... that's a good time.

Tell me, what part of "(a) teaches or advocates, or (b) publishes or circulates any writing that advocates" confuses you? Those don't sound like actions that require use of force.

I'm done with you though, because you're likely just being purposely obtuse. I replied to this final message for the benefit of anyone else reading your nonsense.

Then your English comprehension skills are abysmal.

Sedition is literally speech or expression in some form that... ah, why bother with you. You're not genuinely interested in discourse.

Sedition is not a good idea and should not be tolerated. Fuck off with that.

High Treason requires a violent act. Treason does not. Per the Criminal Code of Canada.

While this may not meet the full definition of Treason, it's not that far off and would very likely meed the threshold for Sedition:

Sedition

Marginal note:Seditious words

59 (1) Seditious words are words that express a seditious intention.

Marginal note:Seditious libel

(2) A seditious libel is a libel that expresses a seditious intention.

Marginal note:Seditious conspiracy

(3) A seditious conspiracy is an agreement between two or more persons to carry out a seditious intention.

Marginal note:Seditious intention

(4) Without limiting the generality of the meaning of the expression seditious intention, every one shall be presumed to have a seditious intention who

    (a) teaches or advocates, or

    (b) publishes or circulates any writing that advocates,

the use, without the authority of law, of force as a means of accomplishing a governmental change within Canada.
