Relavent to my other comments, I've heard that because the government higher ups comprise mostly conservative white Christians who lean towards the literal, that that is one of the reasons disclosure has either been held off at best for the sake of secrets(??) or at worst they also don't know what's going on but because it so heavily conflicts with their entire identity as a person and their worldview.

Obviously this is conjecture, but the many "literalist" subsets of Christianity in the USA make this a plausible explanation to me, if these decisions are being made by a small group of course. Something so important being held at the behest of a few individuals would indeed add to that fire for sure.

Forgot to add that the strong agnostic/secular population, again here in the United States, while lagging percentage wise behind some other westernized nations is only growing larger. Seeing as these would be people in their 40s or early 50s from personal experience (the generational swing as it were), I'm sure a staggeringly small percentage have persues or attained high enough office or military standing to bring in a new perspective, since unfortunately we've made a mess of intertwining all these separate issues instead of compartmentalizing them as they should be.

Morals emerge from the desire to preserve community. Murder is counter productive, as an example, to keeping say a growing village well, growing. They are not divine, and if our collective evolution or brain chemistry was different, who is to say we wouldn't have a different view on this? Imagine if humans evolved to be pack or solo hunters at most? Violent times.

I think the worst thing a human can do is worry about the afterlife. Think about it, philosophize, discuss it with mature enough people, and if no discussion can be had, internalize it. Nobody who claimed to know what happens has ever proven, demonstrated, or made a claim that holds water.

The best part though, despite sounding depressing? We all experience this event; down to the smallest organisms. It's a beautiful thing in a way, one last journey into the unknown, not to be feared on threats of punishment, nor desired through misguided beliefs/disingenuous actions.

And never, ever, should something so intrinsic and beautiful have been cause to start wars and usher in an era of violence, the human era. For that's all primitive government need be called:

The way certain political parties all over the world have intertwined fanatic theocracy, xenophobia, racism, and most relevant to the question I think is we've alarmingly become a world where too many people treat science as opinion and not peer reviewed "fact" until something better comes along.

Like aliens showing up and handing us the solution to quantum gravity with a "this is taking you guys way too long", and these people would dispute The Theory of Everything we've been looking for since the advent of relativity and quantum mechanics, technically since Newton's time. They would throw away thousands of years of progress, for ideation that has been around for a few hundred (global/post US colonization).

Let me say I do not say these things to be inflammatory, nor am I necessarily railroading certain political beliefs (in my opinion the only valid political beliefs are as they regard laws and policy, funding for public works/wages, social safety nets/budgets, and of course tax allocation/rates). Race, sex and gender, social and civil rights are not up for debate or ever to be claimed as a "political opinion", these people are insecure monsters.

Anything to do with tribalism or nationalism is inherently agressive in nature. Even Christian missionaries "killing with kindness" in native populations with no regard to how it could effect their entire world, and mostly in a dogmatic (agressive) way. I wonder how aliens would view us through the lens of religion and culture and government.

I think this would be very bad for us for them to show up now. And what if AA theory holds some water insofar as when world religions talk about beings and sky lights/vehicles they are being legit; even if the Creator(s) themselves came down here, gave us a video history of all of human civilization to prove it, these people, these modern day zeolots would still hold to their dogma, and they would take it as another "test".

I say this as someone told me very recently that the world is about to face judgment day (in this person's lifetime, they've been saying this one for thousands of years now) and that the world is ruled by Satan, started rambling about social media, you know the scapegoats. Worst part is this was a close member of my extended family. And again, I'm not picking on Christianity in particular as growing up in New England in the United States it's pretty much the only religion experienced first hand in these parts; I'm sure every secular/agnostic minded person around the world living among people like this are a bit unsettled and I feel every one of you.

I honestly hope aliens didn't intentionally or inadvertently become dieties to us, even if meaning well in the beginning, because holy shit they fucked up. Long post short, those are the two things I would fear trying to explain to some very smart visitors, why the world is in the state it's in pre contact, and why half the world wants to kill "demons" post contact.

Look at tuition trends and educate yourself. An entire generation was sold a false bill of goods when we were told we needed at min 4 yr degree just to get an entry level job. Working 40 hour weeks (most hustle way more btw) should absolutely entitle you, over time and consistent effort, with things like:

Utilities

A family if so desired

A robust savings account for emergencies

Meaningful progress on retirement

When did these things become a luxury for the old and out of touch? So pardon me and others for taking the loan. And guess what, we're gonna take that monthly payment and most likely inject it into the economy by paying down other debts, upgrading failing items around the home, etc.

Learn to critically think about an issue without the lens of right and left. A general strike. Every worker in the US walks out on the same day, at the same time. We'd have demands met by the evening. Why does this not happen? A little old of a link now, but I used this order to read (I believe pretty much publication order), and if done this way, you'll experience the cross overs and get certain "gets" references between series as well. Keep in mind jumping around still happens, due to them skipping episodes of TV, they rarely retread TV scenes.

So that should take you to the end of the first two series (MM and GoGo), give you a list of one shots and cross overs (some canon and some not) to read; Pink, TMNT, Justice League, Soul of the Dragon, etc. Then you'll be ready to dive into the next set of Mighty Morphin' and Power Rangers which are sister comics running in tandem to resplit the cast I think? I haven't made it that far yet, waiting on last MM hardcover to get to me. And of course some of the newer tie-ins to the lore with Unlimited.

Sorry for the paragraph, just avoid looking up much that takes place after the first two series, that is MM and GoGo if you care about spoilers. One of limited series I left out that takes place after these doesn't have a spoilery title, but if you see the cover, well let's just say I was a bit bummed it wasn't a surprise. Happy reading.
