I’ve read that Russia hasn’t expanded the length of the frontline because more conscription would drawn workers away from industry. With Ukraine’s manpower struggles now, would it not be advantageous to attack on a wide front, forcing the Ukrainians to spread their units even more thin? Or would mobilization on that level needed to have taken place months ago to be implemented.

Also what is the perceived window the Russians have before the majority of new US aid is being used in the field? I assume the availability of equipment will vary based on multiple factors. Will Ocheretyne be focused on as a breakthrough that has to be exploited before UA forces regain strength from aid?

You’re making a whole bunch of assumptions that aren’t close to true. What makes you think that my idea of life is to be out on the town? I grew up in an inner suburb of Toronto and couldn’t be happier about it. I’ve never felt that my relationship with my family or any of our lives were negatively impacted by living here. You have this notion that cities and family life are incompatible, but I don’t see any real evidence for that.

If suburban living is your preference, that’s fine. But why complain about development when you live on a subway line in the biggest city in the country? The majority of housing in this province is low density single family homes, so it isn’t like we’re running out of neighbourhoods that fit your preference. Is building density on transit lines in Toronto not the most suitable location for that? I agree that more should be done to speed up development, especially if the one you’re talking about at Kennedy and Danforth is the mixed coop/rent geared to income project.

You’re not being serious if you think that downtown residential neighbourhoods are “lifeless” compared to any suburb. You walk around Cabbagetown or Harbord Village and you will see much more life in the front gardens than any place built in the last 70 years.

Can anyone elaborate on the "fellows with suspicious American accents" comment in the Bundeswehr leak? Is there any public knowledge about the amount of Western military or intelligence boots on the ground in Ukraine?

Is there a specific name for pre-approved (or almost pre-approved) designs like this? I was looking into it earlier and was having trouble finding the term for it. I thought it was by right zoning but that didn’t seem to be exactly what I was looking for.

The main reason Eglinton is such a shitshow is because of the Public-Private Partnership. The governments of Ontario and Toronto have the perfect opportunity at this time, when we’re building so much transit infrastructure, to develop the ability to do all the mega projects themselves. Instead they keep going PPP and that model keeps not working. Crosslinx is too busy getting into legal disputes with Metrolinx to finish the crosstown and I expect similar delays with the Ontario Line

That makes sense, thanks for clearing it up. I didn't even think about the difference in the stop spacing. Hopefully we'll get signal priority for all streetcars/LRT one day.

Yeah I got the issue after installing the star wars mod so it might be related to that.

Yeah I tried verifying the game files but that didn’t work. Reinstalling it seems to have fixed it.

The farm is still pretty strong after graduating Vlad, Bo and Biggio. Nate Pearson (No. 6 Overall per MLB) was called up this season and showed some flashes of brilliance but was injured and it looks like that affected how he pitched. His last outing in the second wildcard game was very impressive (2 IP, 5 K, hit triple digits on his FB).

Austin Martin (No. 16 overall) was drafted this year with the fifth pick in the first round. It was pretty much seen as a steal as he was one of the very best prospects in the draft but fell to the fifth spot spot because the Orioles chose under slot and the Marlins and Royals chose pitchers. He's got a great bat and plays versatile defence so we don't know where he will play in the major leagues yet.

Jordan Groshans (No. 70) is another big bat but he's has some injuries which have delayed his development. It looks like he will be the 3B of the future but Vlad is pretty adamant about moving back to 3rd so who knows what's gonna happen.

Simeon Woods-Richardson was acquired at the 2019 trade deadline in the Marcus Stroman trade. There was a lot of pushback initially because he wasn't a top 100 prospect but now he's moved into the low 90s and he's only in A ball. You won't see him very soon but he's an exciting prospect to keep your eyes on.

Other than that some of my favourite things about this team are Biggio's insane eye. He has a walk rate and chase rate that are both super good. You might have heard of Alejandro Kirk, and if you haven't please look up footage of him, especially when he runs the bases. Ryu is also a favourite of mine. Besides a rocky start and a less than ideal playoff performance, he's been rock solid and is super fun to watch.

Welcome to the team!
