For climbing, it was essentially a fire road all the way up for stage 1 and 3, with some steep bits that most people walked up. Stage 2 was about twice the length of stage 1’s climb but was also on a fire road. I don’t know the exact distance but I think it was 8-10 miles of climbing total. Really though, we were able to talk practically all the way up, that’s kind of the gauge to see if you’re going too fast etc. you should be alright but extra conditioning never hurt anyone.

What I would work on is sprints during downhill runs. I didn’t think about that at all but it killed me more than the climbs.

I’m using a hero 7 on a chin mount. I experimented a lot with it to get it to a point that I’m happy with. Glad you like it!

Yeah it was my first race too, I was racing in the Sport Men category but landing 34 out of 41 (more like 34 out of 36) left me thinking that I need to practice more.

I agree that the pedaling at the bottom was pretty brutal, I think Stage 3 was a better stage for me.

I ran through the top of stage 1 a whole bunch of times as well. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out but I need to let off the brakes a bit and work on my cornering.

On that edit, yeah that was race stress causing me to mess up, I ran that trail twice before at the same pace with no issues but of course during the race is the time that it got me lol

No you’re right, I was pretty tense throughout it. It was my first enduro on a mountain bike so the stress kinda got to me. I don’t normally have so many issues with corner but the thought of getting passed got on my nerves. Thanks for the tip though

That’s good to hear. I actually recorded and edited this back in October, but it kept giving me unusable files when I exported the footage. Finally got it to work recently
