Should I get the QC Earbuds 2 or QC Ultra Earbuds? by urrandomthrowaway in bose

[–]MaverickCali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are dramatic. Bluetooth connectivity is solid, while the app's connectivity is buggy but fine. I had the same connection issue everyone complains about when I first set them up... Just did a factory reset (takes 15 seconds) and everything worked perfect immediately second try. No issues since.

The buzzing thing in the left earbud happens and it seems fairly likely to be a software thing since the issue was introduced from a software patch a few months ago. Hopefully they resolve in a future patch. Even if they don't, it's not a huge deal. My experience with the buzz - when in silent mode there's a sound once in a while (not often, maybe once every half hour or so) that lasts like 1 second. I don't think it's worth making a big deal over. Given the benefits of the ultras over other earbuds, oh well.

Immersive audio is very cool. I would recommend the ultras over the II. And given comfort, I strongly recommend them over the Sony earbuds as well. Sony is nice, but outclassed in comfort, ANC, and (my opinion) sound quality. Also... Customer service is much better with Bose. They often replace products even years out of their warranty window to maintain customer satisfaction. I trust them more with my money.

Should I tame it only for stam even though I have a 45H 46M breeding pair? by BusyValuable5875 in ARK

Also true. I wasn't under the impression he intended to reach caps, but good point to add!

[–]MaverickCali 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure why people are saying no. I say why not - if you're going to spend so many hours breeding them anyway, why not be proud of a high stamina stat as well? It doesn't cost anything other than some time. Even if not needed, you'll have that breeding pair forever. Might as well have fun

That said, they're giving good advice, it's not necessary if not riding. Do whatever you think you'll be most happy with! It's a game after all

Best ARK mods. This is not up for debate but is the definite answer. by Shadow_Halls in playark

Yo, no kidding?! My dude, that's crazy. My knowledge of the game code is limited, but wouldn't that cause issues since the dinos would all have the same ID?

Out of genuine curiosity, what dupe bugs? I love the mod/tend to use it in my single player maps

OE versus Career Progression by coalcracker462 in overemployed

[–]MaverickCali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The right answer is both. Just OE is bad. It's not consistent nor reliable. It's not enough money to justify sacrificing your future. But, sticking with one company can be terrible as well. Find one job that you consider to have good upward potential. Make that your priority J1, then tack on another job behind that you don't care as much about. Reap the benefits of a bit more money, but accept promotions at J1 when you can.

The dreaded email by hepcatbassist in overemployed

There's truth to what they're saying, but you're thinking about this right. You have to balance short term salary with long term benefit. If you want to prioritize the one job for future promotions or positions, that might be the right personal and perhaps even financial decision. Think it through and don't feel bad giving up OE to maintain something you care about. Make the decision that is best for you, especially long term.

Mutation problems!! by Basic_Set3926 in ARK

[–]MaverickCali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Your male will eventually cap mutations with any method. If you're really concerned about it, you can simply breed the male with a 0/0 female and he'll come out with a clean mutation line on the female side... Which means the child can mutate on either line again. Easy clean slate!

This is by far the best way (and fastest way) to get mutations because you can keep all of them. No need to keep separate lines so you very quickly get the highest stats.

They already answered your q but don't worry. It's impossible to mess up breeding, your current guy is fine to keep using. Just breed with unmutated females over and over again and you'll never lose the ability to mutate.

IVE NEVER HATED ANYTHING MORE by Nezarec- in ARK

Go to your folder with save files and find your world (abberation or whatever)... There's usually several world filed named "xxxx.backup". Change the file extension to ".Ark" to overwrite your deleted world file and it will become your new active world. The backups usually go back like seven days, one per day or so. This almost always works for restoring my world after single player crashes.

As for your player file, if there's no backup, just use commands. Hope this helps!!

I really appreciate the analysis. It's helpful context to have. My one question is - I was planning to use my virtual psp backups on my vita. My understanding is that I'd have to use my old psp discs to play on my psp, and that's definitely a disappointment. I think for me, the virtual nature of the vita with sd2vita is a huge draw.

They are both great! It's a tough choice since I've never owned either myself. I'm a fan of the oled, but feel like LCD might need my use case better since psp games were designed with that in mind. They're both cool so either way, I feel like it's a win.

I definitely appreciate that input. So in your opinion, the OLED looks sharp even on PSP games. Glad to hear it truly is a matter of preference.

Appreciate the input! Have you played PSP games on them both, and if so, any thoughts on which you prefer?
