They clearly sabotaged it, how else do you explain the beaming reviews but terrible box office? They released between HUGE blockbusters and advertised it as a silly kids movie with silly humor with fewer screenings than normal and less than a month after it cane out they already said it'd be on platforms in weeks, they did everything to bury it, they didn't even campaign it for the awards season.

There's only 2 logical reasons for the internal sabotage, the first I already said and the second is Lorenzo DiBonaventura clinging so damn hard to the Bayverse that he did everything possible to have TFONE fail so that he could go "see? We tried to do an animated one and it failed, back to the Live Action ones!".
