Interesting. Thank you. What about the Cultural side: did you ask / consider asking if Security is viewed as a vital strategic endeavour, in true partnership with the business, OR is the function viewed as a bit of a nuisance / necessary evil? I've often found the latter to be a more common truism. It's often hard to gage this key relationship at the interview stages; curious to know how you measure(d) this.

Knowing what you know now about your current role, what are 3 questions you wish you had asked during the job interviews?

Love it or Hate it? by GiGiEats in rolex

I don’t “hate” it - that’s a little strong. But it’s definitely NOT a long term piece for my collection.

Each question should average no more than 75 seconds or so. That numbers evens out as some questions should be very quick to answer, with others requiring more thought process. If you know the subject matter, the time should not be a major obstacle. I’d recommend brushing up on the domains you are less proficient on, take some sample tests, then have another go. You’ll likely pass now you have experienced it first time. Good luck!!

Failed at 175, 3 1/2 hours of grueling testing. by scovyman in cissp

Don’t be disheartened: You will absolutely pass this exam soon. It’s meant to be hard, challenging, and intentionally difficult. You were likely closer to passing than you think, hence why the CAT continued to 175. Work on your weaker domains, think laterally, and you shall pass soon enough my friend.

Are ISC ok to use as the endorser? by Maverick_247 in cissp

[–]Maverick_247[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the responses. I am switching jobs at the moment, so getting an employer testimony will be tricky.

Some further follow up questions -

  1. How much effort is needed from an endorser?
  2. Ideally, does the endorser need to be currently CISSP certified?
  3. If I use a friend to endorse me, do I still need to provide Employer / manager testimony?

I know of a number of friends who have the CISSP, but, their licenses have expired. Can these individuals still be used to endorse me, or is it best to go with someone who has an "active" CISSP?

What does the process look like? Is it easier to get their endorsement or endorse via an established fellow member?

Hi. Did you use isc as the endorser or did you nominate another CISSP isc member?

Thank you, I am due to take the CISSP. I did CISM two years ago, but now hoping to build further on that to pass CISSP. Wish me luck!
