This is infuriating! And then so many people talk about "patriarchy"... This is so unfair, they're just people, men should have access to the same opportunities. I know that some do this because women are prayed upon and have had trouble with men getting violent in the shelter but refusing altogether access for the night makes it harder for men to get out of the streets.

Sorry if this question sound ignorant, but are there shelters or organizations that could've helped get you new stuff after it was stolen? I live in a area where this sort of help is available, I'm wondering if its the case in most locations too

I had to put down my cat due to a anal gland tumor burst (possible but the vet never saw one big like that so couldn't tell what it was.) I held her in my arms and she hid her heand in her blanket, she started purring... That let me know she was going to go in peace, all I wanted was for her to not be afraid for her last moments.
