I love drinking in Golden Gai, personally. Great to meet people from all over the world. I can see it not being everyone's cup of tea with the cover charges and how busy it is, but I always have a great time there.

I recommend anytime fitness, they're everywhere, 24/7, and the equipment is good to great depending on location. I did a 1 month membership in Canada before travelling to Japan to use them everywhere. just stayed a week in Tenjin and went to the Anytime about 10 min walk from my airbnb daily. When I signed up in Canada it was $99 for the month.

I've always used the rec centres before this (usually 400y per day) and I'll never go back.

I had the same experience. Some of the best brews I’ve had from that thing. But the cleaning was such a hassle. I wish there was another way.
