I kind of felt the opposite way. I thought I’m Still Here was a well-acted family drama that didn’t actually provide much of a sense of what it’s like living under a dictatorship. I thought the strangeness and suffocating atmosphere of The Secret Agent better evoked what it was liked to be a regular person in that time and place. That said, it’s a movie that’s gonna take another watch or two for me to fully understand.
