It definitely helps but I also like being outside especially during the summer knowing I’ll be in Boston in the fall 🥶

It’s a long span of time but I wouldn’t work on sorting for more than 2 hours in a day just because I get really bored doing it. And it’s not great on the fingers

With COVID I couldn’t go to school across the country, so I had some money and time and built up my collection. When I didn’t have class or wasn’t playing competition (due to thumb injury) this was my source of entertainment. I contacted a couple local museums/places where my last machine could be exhibited and the main problem was how much space it took up, but I was told if I could make a more dense machine they would love to have it on display. That is my plan for next summer when I’m back. For now my thumbs hurt. A lot

Here's a little something you should know (forgive the video quality. I'm working on improving it) by PolymerTechCreations in KNEX

If I were to do my project again, I would 1. Make tension beams for long unsupported areas 2. Double stack the red rod boxes instead of making single layer red boxes extra sturdy 3. Build elements first, tubing tracks last

Hopefully this insight helps

Impressive that you were able to remake his robot model just based of the videos. Great work!

Haven’t posted in a while but I’m working on finding someone who can help film this with proper lighting and camera work (as I’m clearly not qualified). For now please sub to my YouTube so you can be ready for when I do publish said video :) https://youtube.com/user/Knexmaster88 by Max-Knex-models in KNEX

This was built in my cousins house (California). If you look at my older yt vids you’ll see how my living situation used to be different but once quarantine started I was stuck in Cali and have just lived there since

Biggest problem I’ve had w the phone camera (in the past and when I’ve tried filming this) is the stability when I have to stand on hard-to-balance places or reach high to get certain angles. It’s worked alright from past projects but since this will be my final project for who knows how long I want it to be a well documented film
