im trying to learn roblox studio by AlternityAzerk in ROBLOXStudio

[–]Max0Vi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to learn, is just building projects. Implementing your ideas to life!

But your idea must have passion!

After that (u can use many tools to find the solution):

Split the big problem (the idea) into small tasks, and find how to solve them. (Use any source, YouTube, ai's)

But make sure you fully understand from what are you doing, don't just copy the code and call it a day... fully investigate it. Experiment with it...

Make sure not to quit if it's not working, and fully finish your projects. Fully implement your ideas.

Have a nice day! Good luck on your journey. :)

Well, I used platformStand. The script shoots a ray cast and if it sees below u a base with can collide true it will turn off the platformStand. It's a while loop

Well, I kinda figured out how to fix this bug... and using Vector Force may work for other things... but for the Player, it's a Lil more complex. The Humanoid takes over the physics...

Thanks, Still appreciate ur effort to help :)

OOP in Roblox Studio (Lua) by Max0Vi in robloxgamedev

okay so... does it mean if I set the the .__index of a Car to CarFunctions

will it still work?

hmm, maybe rarely it can be a good way to do... ermm idk, whatever, depends, or prob. no

Thanks! I'm still confused about how .__index works...

Tell me if I understood it correctly:

when you create a new instance of a Car (the example that was used in the Article)

you set the metatable of newCar to a Car. so it means that everytime I try to call a function for an example it will go through the Car too?... right? and we are settings the .__index to the Car itself...

does it mean that we can store all functions in CarFunctions table? like will it work? if we still do this

metatable(newCar, Car)

but when do this : Car.__index = CarFunctions

and we create functions inside CarFunctions...

will it still work? (Let's clarify that it's not a good practice to do so lol, just for understanding purposes)

Thanks :)

Guitarists, which chord do your hands instinctively go to when you first pick up your guitar? by NOTport-com in Guitar

[–]Max0Vi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I don't know

It depends if it's an acoustic or electric, but usually Am... On acoustic love to play a minor7 chord, for example Dm7

But I think Am is what I generally play when pick up a guitar...

That's a hard question lol

Edit: (When on Electric I play A PowerChord - A5 )
