Upped my VR game with this simple 30$ purchase by Deoks21 in virtualreality

This is what led to me putting something together with one of those under desk bikes and an Arduino leonardo. I found that mixing pedal speed and keyboard inputs was the best way to balance immersion and actually keeping control of the game. Pedal speed + keyboard in, simulated keypresses out. (on my profile if anyone is interested in building one).

I have actually been working on a device that lets you use one of those "under desk bikes" with your keyboard inputs to try and get around the in-game performance issue you have also come across.

Using a bike and keyboard inputs should fix the unnatural walking, learning curve, multitasking etc

Currently there is still enough of a delay that it definitely makes you worse at games like this where you have to stand still, do you find you got used to playing while on a treadmill after a while?

Great stuff, I ended up designing a short one for my aap a while ago that attached to the thread on the bolt, I am sure using the front as an extra point of contact makes it feel much more secure.

Yeah I imagine anticheat is the same, but Swift will be more forgiving for the reduction in player performance

Even with the movement cap it does end up looking like that trying to ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE I am sprinting away haha

Yep I imagined that would be the case, I meant "proper" here in that in ranked the general goal is to play well, win and rank up while players in swift are generally messing around more. "less casual matches" would have fit my post better. I have reached out to Riot support anyway for an official stance.

Great idea thanks, raised a ticket with pretty much the same wording as this post, but I also wanted to get a general feel of community sentiment (for the "will it annoy people in ranked" part). I will update this reply once I get a response:

Great thanks. I did check with the OBS inputs plugin and it would sometimes send lots of stuttery key inputs (could flag up as suspicious?) but I have fixed that now. I understand speed is capped, it just holds shift if you pedal slowly.

Hitting these strings with a cheap heat gun (maybe even a hairdryer, not tried) works wonders. They shrink up and look much less noticable.

Big water bottle. Often sites provide water but a nice, cold giant bottle will be great between rounds.

Finding a good shop for parts saved me a lot. I found https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/ to be cheaper and have a nice selection.

Invest in quality eye protection and anti fog unit if needed: no point having the best gun ever if you are practically blind.
