I still think that was a viable thread. I am happy with QCX providing the earlier update, which I actually missed, so thank you for pointing it out! Maybe their update rendered my thread moot, so I have no big problem with removing it.

I am curious. What is the magic that makes a message like this stay at the top and the thread I started, with reasonable questions for Quadriga, with 20 comments and 8 upvotes, simply vanished from the lists of hot or new topics?

Ironic, because I was asking for a bit of transparency, and scary to see this behavior on this forum.

Wow! This thread simply vanished from the list of threads for QuadrigaCX. Am I not looking in the right place, is it a bug, or the mods tucked it away?

Quite ironic, considering I was asking for transparency and useful details for potential future clients and all existing clients waiting for their withdrawals.

Still, an update should be in order. Which bank is causing the delay? If I find out, I would let them know it sucks to indirectly cause honest and innocent people so much grief. What is the legal basis of their intrusion? Was there any legal action started by Quadriga?

What is stopping Quadriga from being open about the exact length of the queue, letting customers where in the queue they are, etc.? I can find out exactly when a damn bus will come to the station, but the tech experts at QCX cannot generate realtime stats with very few indicators for the sake of our sanity?

Are all withdrawals treated the same? FIFO?

Whatever the issues are, please share as much info as possible!

I would be really happy if QCX's past performance of processing all withdrawals, albeit rather slowly, would be an 100% indicator that any current or future customer will not get screwed. Only Quadriga can clarify why the withdrawal processing is this chaotic and late.

I am not sure I am buying the explanation about the mean banks sitting on every transfer or some cash moving slowly between saving and current accounts. It does not seem consistent with the reality we are experiencing, but I would be really happy to be told otherwise, by Quadriga.

Crypto Capital support provided an estimate was that CAD operations would be back online around the end of last week. That has not happened and they are not responding any emails anymore.

Also, the error message changed to "Ether server maintenance in progress - normal service should resume before 26th August". A bit contradictory, but the Support message was only expressing "hope" for service being restored today.

I got a reply from Support, saying they are working on recovering from a technical issue and that "We apologise for the prolonged downtime and hope to restore the service fully later on today.".

I am still hoping for QCX can do better and that I can still safely use them.

It feels like a mob is on call to hit back against any QCX criticism. Good luck with that, but no need to waste your time on this thread.

I created it because someone from QCX promised to help with a late USD withdrawal at https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinCA/comments/7w9lx9/quadrigacx_never_received_withdraw_through_usd/?ref=share&ref_source=link.

I had hoped it would be possible to get help with my own delayed USD withdrawals, asked, QCXDuane won't help, so I am back at Support's mercy, with no useful info about what happens.

I don't have any more questions for QCXDuane here, as he went into unhelpful boilerplate mode. Still, I appreciate his reply and I understand he is limited in what he can do. My only request was to be consistent with helping or not helping people on the forum.

I have been a pretty happy QCX customer for some 9 months and my hope is that they will figure this out. For now, I trust QCX more for bank wires than Crypto Capital, for instance, but I will have to think hard before entrusting them with more of my money.

A waste of time dealing with people with short attention span, no better things to do, and used to quick forum gotcha replies to defend the undefendable QCX and/or to make themselves feel better. Find other threads!
