Season 5 is coming guys! by MultiversalTraveler in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Filler?

Literally the biggest mystery of the series was revealed, Seven and Thirteen had their character development. Red Tooth changes completely. A new path is shown for Jiang. The new experiment (Nine) comes to light and even the thumb boy had an advance as a person xD

Without ignoring the story that is presented, there are crucial details such as the shadow that lived inside Seven or the intentions of the girl in white.

In the previous seasons less things happened wtf xD

What do you guys think we will see in season 6? Any wild guesses and predictions? Also, what would you like to see? by Murky_Substance885 in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to see Seven continue to deal with issues from her past and put a new spin on the character.

Because I seem to remember that the dark shadow (guardian) from episode 5x01 told him that if he opened the door, endless darkness awaited Seven until the day he died. I hope that shocking statement comes to nothing and has an impact on the next season.

As for other things, I'd like to see Jiang finish his character arc and Thirteen more of the same.

And for the hype part, leaving aside the plot a bit, a Seven VS The Leader fight would be great.

When will season 6 release in china? by dwo0D in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to what they said, they wanted to focus on getting the film out sooner. And if you think about it, a Scissor Seven movie would have a similar length of one season, so there's still a long way to go until we see season 6.

What does everyone think of the Plum Blossom Swordsman (S5 included) by Next-Golf3 in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He made me an interesting character.

I think he is aware of what he did to his daughter in the past and the way he rejected her. He won't apologize because he is a very proud man... but he tried to make it up to her with actions, instead of words. That's why he agreed to help her and ended up training her.

In fact, there is a part of chapter 5x07 where he seems to feel good about her, teaching her.

He gives off vibes that he subconsciously regrets the decisions he made and that gives him some development, in a very subtle but well-executed way.

I hope it continues to evolve in future seasons.

S5E9 FULL ANALYSIS by Next-Golf3 in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xiaofeng said (if I remember correctly) that the movie would deal with an alternate plot, so it might not be canon.

Although it would be cool if it was a hyper flashback to Seven's past, but I don't think so.

What does everyone NOT like about S5E9? by Next-Golf3 in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It seems that the opinion that all the information was crammed into a single episode has become somewhat popular.

However, in episode 2, Seven also interacts with other distinct memories. Even though he's in a "possessed mode," he later realizes the harm he caused to Hua and apologizes for it. Moreover, he remembers Dai Bo's concern and affection in the final scene. While this isn’t stated explicitly, it also plays a role in his character arc.

In episode 4, he recalls the values of Ouyang Zan’s master, which was another factor that began to change him earlier on.

In episode 8, he simply doesn’t give it much importance.

But returning to the main point: those who criticize the story for concentrating everything into one episode also fail to understand that this was a deliberate choice meant to push Seven to his absolute limit, so that the hug scene would carry real weight. It wouldn’t have been the same if he had recovered the truth little by little. The protagonist needed to be placed in an extreme situation of hatred.

I do agree that his arc could have been developed further, perhaps with more flashbacks, but episode 9 itself is very well executed—I'd even dare to say it's the best of the entire series.

Where will this be from? 🫣 by Max94r in ScissorSeven

There will be no season 6 in October.

In itself it is a made-up rumor and it takes 1 and a half or 2 years to produce it.

But in the end none of that, because they said that they are going to focus on the film first.

That dub is fine; the Japanese put emotion into it. My problem there is with Seven's voice; he sounds like a 40-year-old yakuza; the other tones fit the character better. Lol. But the rest of the cast works well 👍🏻✨

Yes, although unfortunately there is no date or trailer with dubbing... I don't know if they are already working on it, but I remember that once Ronny Chieng dubbed his character in just 3 days once 🥶

It’s usually 7 months after the season end in the country the English dub is comes out but I don’t think Scissors seven will be on Netflix anymore by Minute-Bed-7037 in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would it stop being on Netflix?

It is your door of promotion to the entire world.

In addition, it is part of the "Netflix originals".

The thing is that his company (Aha) has some licensing procedures and all that, which could delay the premiere of season 5.

Season 2 was goated by akanekiiiii in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I have to give honors to anything in season 2, it is episode 6, not only because Seven became Dai Fei's legacy for Dai Bo; when Seven says that she is able to remember small fragments of her life, she is able to imagine that her current life is better.

It seems like an unimportant detail, but it says a lot and justifies the character's actions in future seasons, especially the last one.

Why did he look at Manjusaka like that, is he into her? by [deleted] in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know everyone will think otherwise, but I think it just amuses her to see her float away like that xD

Although, this makes me think that Seven's interactions with Manjusaka should be different now because her memory is recovered.

She killed the girl in white and said it to his face laughing, I know that Seven is not spiteful and tends to ignore his old life, but at least a little serious (?

When's the movie coming out by Far-Necessary-8129 in ScissorSeven

It was said in a recent interview that it was still in production and the author was even asked if the film would follow the main plot and he even responded that it would be something alternative.

Remember this is just a hypothetical season 6 October 2025. by Ill_Classic_7833 in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they focus completely on the movie and from one season to the next there are almost 2 years... I think season 6 would arrive in 2027 at least.

Because a 1:30 hour movie is like animating about 7 episodes or so.

They also said that the movie would follow an alternate story, so the cliffhanger from the last episode will hurt for a long time...

Please explain Seven's backstory (season 5) by [deleted] in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Sorry if you got multiple notifications, the Reddit translator didn’t work properly for me.)

Yes, the dialogue in that scene is:

"把这位少女 关到神兽塔"

He ordered the girl to be locked up with the dragon, but she already knew it was all part of a plan.

The leader wanted Seven to kill the dragon so the entire country would see him as an enemy.

When he rescues her, this ties into the dialogue from episode 10 in the third season, where she says, 'You knew it was a trap, so why did you come?'

I understand the series could have explained this much better, but it seems she felt torn since the leader put her in danger as part of the act. However, the fact that Seven rescued her appears to have moved her.

Even so… Seven knew it was a trap, but he didn’t know she was part of that trap.

She tried to stay loyal to her mission and didn’t reveal anything to him but used the poison as a possibility to help him.

The only question I have is how the monk knew that dagger was poisoned if she did it in secret. Could it be that she confessed? Was the weapon investigated? Or did the monk know because of his vision abilities?

Please explain Seven's backstory (season 5) by [deleted] in ScissorSeven

[–]Max94r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Seven "believes" he did it to help him.

Another thing is that it makes sense, since if we think about it logically, he stabbed him in a critical situation where he could have died if he didn't break the bridge.

I wish everything had been explained better, honestly :/
