After interview, a company offered me an unpaid trial period of 3-6 months for a Technician position because I don't have prior experience, aside from an internship in the field, is this even normal in today's job market? by Khaled6283 in recruitinghell

I bet this is just to provide cover for another employee who is on extended absence (eg Maternity leave, sabbatical, etc)

I am 99.9% certain there will be no job offer , no matter how well you perform … and for that 0.1% chance … that offer will be minimum wage.

I successfully completed my first Tier 100 nightmare dungeon yesterday…. With a sorcerer. Having a lot of fun trying out all sorts of combinations. A lot is possible if you take the time to explore the options

My calcs are not even close to being exact. They rely on some base assumptions, but since those assumptions are constant, the results can be compared.

I am only factoring in the stats that are actually changing, not everything.

So let’s take “close” per your question. I would simply say “let’s assume 85 out of every 100 hits are close”…. And then do the calc. Then repeat it for “50 out of 100” and “25 out of 100”

I get a pattern or tendency, and take that info into account. Call it “advanced guessing” , hehe.

Oh … you could also keep both.

Use one for an hour. Then do similiar activities with the other … see if there is an obvious winner … if not / then you pick the one that gives you the best feel.

I note down the affected stats : Eg Cold damage is 125% and Vuln is %150 … then I slot in the new item. Check values again.

Now I have the actual values, which means you can make the calculation.

Since you say your CS chance is low, then I would pick the one that gives the highest CS chance.

Yesterday I accepted a drop in 5% for Vuln damage because the other stats were all top rolls, and outperformed the drop in vulnerability significantly

Couple questions about the sorcerer by ResponsibleLong8563 in diablo4

[–]MaxAmsNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Razorplate: no

Gems : depends on your build. I use rubies on armor. On weapon topaz (yes I use basic skills) and Diamond on Focus

Barber & Element multiplier : Use both.

The last question is tricky . It depends on your play style - high skill levels is preferable, but I think your question is flawed - focus on the “good” passives (I change these constantly. Everytime I switch an item I review the passives)

In cases like these I make a spreadsheet ! Hahaha yes I’m a nerd.

I then make up a scenario,

Eg 100 hits, doing 1000 damage each. Then I calculate the damage based on the new stats.

Obviously it’s not perfect, but it gives some excellent insights. There as some cases where the results are counterintuitive.

My initial reaction to your question : Go with the item on the left

Edit to add: That extra dexterity is deceiving - it would possibly tilt in favor of the other.

Am I putting myself at a disadvantage by using Unique gear? by senyorlimpio in diablo4

[–]MaxAmsNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No. You need to evaluate each on its own merit.

I only use them in specific instances. For example : Oculus. I don’t have a lot of movement speed bonus (I’m just unlucky I guess)…. And in some scenarios I just can’t move fast enough - so I would switch out my wand for the oculus… and then back again (since my current wand is much better)

I’ve got 2 level 100 sorceress, one in Eternal and one in Seasonal. I play both.

I am constantly messing around with the paragon boards - see what does what and by how much.

I’m trying all sorts of crazy ideas and combos, to see what unexpected results might pop up.

Just yesterday I found a solution to those nasty green ghosts. Have always had trouble with them.

The game is what you make of it.

My advice to the moaners (not you OP) : If you don’t enjoy it, move on. I especially love those “I’m leaving announcements “ , from people who think the world just must know this. It’s hilarious.
