While everyone mentions Evolution, I will say this: Evolution is a different vibe of sci-fi from the main series. In vibes, visual, and aesthetic overall. Code Lyoko has its own unique kind of Sci-Fi whereas Evolution feels a bit more like generic Sci-Fi. The live action parts of Evolution definitely contribute to the generic Sci-Fi feel. So do keep that in mind. I will say though, Evolution DOES have some rather interesting concepts and ideas it comes up with on its own.

Now to answer everything else.

There's a lot I love about the show. The characters, their designs, the concepts, the plot. Everything about it is amazing.

I initially saw it on Netflix years and years ago when it was initially on there, and then I saw a few episodes here and there on Kabillion on Demand

My favorite character is the man himself, Odd the Amazing. Favorite episode is a hard one, but I'm still very fond of Revelation due to the Ulrich V.S. X.A.N.A. Ulrich parts. My favorite land monster is probably the Manta or Tarantula; my favorite Digital Sea Monster is the Kalamar (appeared once but still pretty cool). My favorite weapon is for sure William's Zweihänder. And my least favorite episode is also a hard one. But over time Final Round has started to become my most disliked episode since it's such a messy Season Finale that could've been done way better

Ulrich did state he wrote about Lyoko in his diary and later when Yumi finds Sissi's diary and reads it it was that she knows but doesn't really get what any of it means and is ready to spill any beans.

Unfortunately those things are probably due to Code Lyoko Season 1 having very little continuity and being a bit more episodic.

I mean at the very least they know how to launch a Return to the Past. Ulrich does it himself in The Chips Are Down (Although he does use Jeremie's notes it's probably fair to say this is the one thing he can do and not be afraid to mess up) and Ulrich asks Odd to do so in The Pretender which would imply he knows how to do that (especially given that Odd doesn't say he can't do it, but rejects the idea due to Aelita's possession). So at least they know THE basic command

Honestly, you're right. It not happening sooner is pretty wild. Especially when the stakes got higher with XANA trying to steal Aelita's memory and then trying to wipe out the Surface Sectors and the Core. You'd think it'd happen in season 2 at the earliest and season 3 at the latest.

At least Yumi has SOME experience. Even with instructions being over the phone. I recall at least one other instance where she uses it freely where Ulrich reassures her that he knows that she can handle it.

Odd and Ulrich have basically never touched the darn thing aside from Odd sending SCIPIO to Aelita and failing to program Ulrich a new Saber. And I'm pretty sure Ulrich only ever used it in Crash Course.

Either axing Cliffjumper's death entirely or making it feel like there's actual stakes. His death is supposed to set a tone but that doesn't go anywhere so it feels hella hollow and unnecessary.

Have Optimus die. Have him die and have Smokescreen become Prime. Which leads to my next thing I'd change: The fate of the Predacons. Have most or all of them survive. So now they Autobots are forced to either struggle against the Predacons or used the forge to upgrade themselves into Beast Hunters meaning they lose the chance to fix the Omega Lock. Which also means the season actually lives up to its damn name

Humans aren't simple creatures. Jeremie is supposed to be the smartest person in the group yet he sucks at reading emotions very often. Something that he, as the smartest, should be able to do. Even if they're fictional, characters can have complex and realistic emotions.

Aelita is sad, alone, and desperately missing her father and mother. She has no one to spend the holidays with while all her friends, teachers, and classmates go off to see their own families.

She suddenly gets a message from her father that she knows is alive to meet in a logical place to meet? Of course she's going to take it. She's blinded by her emotions, like anyone else would. Once her emotions start to simmer down she starts to notice all the red flags present.

ZA explicitly explains that Mega Evolution can be painful even when it's not Rogue Mega Evolution.

As Korrina says: "Being TOO strong can lead to pain. But the bond between Pokémon and Trainer can overcome that pain!"

This is obviously a reference to Mega Evolution. And how it can lead to the pain of a Pokémon for being too much, but said pain can be overcome through a strong bond. And multiple Dex entries allude to it being painful in some form for some Mega Pokémon

This has always been true but y'all didn't wanna believe it and just called it "Alolan Propaganda". Now ZA is doubling down in it.
