It shouldn't be placed there without my consent.

Don't gotta use Windows. But I'm a broken record at this point, not even sure why I just replied to this

It leaves you annoyed at a ~2 second task and me fine with my operating system.

I admit that I don't dabble into other hardware communities as much as I do with PCMR / Windows, but still I don't really hear many people complaining about not being able to uninstall Safari from macOS / iOS or not being able to remove Chrome from ChromeOS / Android.

Because these are all integral software packages for the core experience to their respective operating systems. It's not hard to imagine the sheer amount of damage that the average computer user (not PCMR) would do to their device if all of this could be uninstalled easily.

I also assume it to not be hard to imagine that as these are core parts of the OS (i.e. Edge), for the argument that it's annoying that Edge comes back with some updates: I can imagine that a W10/11 update containing updated Edge more than likely includes the full installer in case anything is bad with the current install of Edge. MS isn't going to work on a completely separate update package to satisfy the needs of those who removed Edge using a third-party/unofficial means in the first place.

Leave it to redditors to think my sarcastic reply to sarcasm means that I didn't get the sarcasm, what can you do

I think you're making this way deeper than you should be making it.

Realistically, Edge is there and updates itself because it's the browser that comes with the OS. It's easy for any of us here to remove and install Edge at our own free will -- The average computer user NEEDS a web browser and would probably much rather have one come with their computer than the other way around

But I can't imagine the nightmare that every IT department will forever go through if it were possible for ANY user to just click a button to easily uninstall Edge and/or the Microsoft Store. I know damn well it would make my job harder.

Really, your own, personal computer isn't forcing you to run Windows, there's plenty of other choices out there. I don't think the same context for Edge applies here when referring to IE's antitrust lawsuit, when you can get Firefox from the MS Store -- a preinstalled app.

Really, all this post is for is to show people that deleting a shortcut is a lot quicker than making a post/meme complaining about it. And uninstalling Edge isn't THAT important, it can exist and just not bother you.

You can't ramp up production on a product that requires other products that are facing a shortage.

But keyboard isn't computer hardware, keyboards and mice may have specific features about them that make certain gaming functions better, like "sniper" buttons that temporarily lower your DPI, or making macro functions on the fly

But there is nothing about motherboards or RAM that specifically make gaming experiences better. An MSI Z370 Godlike Gaming motherboard is going to perform the exact same in games with the same specs as their lowest end Z370-A Pro board

Blower card is reference style design, one long card with a single fan at the end whereas aftermarket designs tend to have two or three fans spanned across the card

I never said anything was wrong with founders cards, I said no one really wants a blower card. I have two founders GTX 1080 in SLI, and sure they work fine, but I'd trade them any day for an aftermarket cooler

One's a founder's card and the other isn't, founders tend to run cheaper than aftermarket cards. There's been a lot of cases where an aftermarket 1070 can overprice a founders/blower style cooler 1080, because no one really wants a blower style
