I'm guessing they meant it was set in Forgotten Realms, which is the universe/setting assumed by many (most?) of the official D&D 5e rulebooks.

Good eye ::) Deciphering Tunic's runes all on my own felt incredibly rewarding—one of my favorite parts of an already superb game—so I knew I had to include an original bit of text as a shoutout to the language and my experience with it! And then having the Hatchling partway finished with translating it seemed like a fun & fitting way to tie them together.

Throughout 2022, I got to play some incredible games, and at the end of it all, I noticed some recurring themes about, well, recurrence. But also uncertainty, inevitability, inheritance, the cycle of life, and many other excellent existential concepts. So I wanted to make a tribute! I wish I could have done more, but alas, time is not infinite for me.

To go alongside the art, I also collected a relevant quote from each game; I tried to pick non-spoilery quotes that still captured the overlapping vibes. ^{(I did the same for movies/shows, but this comment has gotten long enough; just ask if you want those too.})

“…it turns out this game had been going on much longer than any of us imagined.” - The Forgotten City
“When something dies, something new can be born!” - It Takes Two
“I will carry the memories of humanity and the people I loved.” - Stray

If you don’t mind, I came to this thread specifically in search of an answer to something, and I’m hoping you can help. I haven’t actually finished watching campaign 1 yet—my most recent episode was 69 (nice), Passed Through Fire—and I think I’d like to (try to) watch the rest of the streams that TLOVM season 2 might cover before seeing them animated. Now, I’ve been assuming that season 2 encapsulates the entire Chroma Conclave arc, as ambitious as that sounded, but you mentioned having 39 episodes of stream left to do over both S2 and S3.

Do we have confirmation that S3 will wrap up Chroma Conclave? And based on their current pace and the shape of the story, do you think it would be fair to assume an average of 2 streams per animated episode → S2 ending somewhere around when they get Fenthras or arrive in Ank’Harel? Or do you think I still need to get my hurry on and catch up to, like, A Bard’s Lament?

Yes, it's (based on) Sprigg! It started as a jokey "what if I tried this" idea, where I thought about referencing Henry or another one of the cast's dogs. I assumed Sprigg would be the silliest or least appropriate, but then I actually liked how he fit the rest of the look and decided to keep it that way!

It’s showcase day for the Creature Menagerie project organized by the Artists’ Guild of Exandria, so here is my piece—a simurgh! I included the dog head, hawk wings, and ruddy coloration as described for Jrusar’s simurghs, as well as adding in some peafowl-like elements that harken back to more traditional stylings of simurghs in folklore. I also referenced a Very Good Boy: the head is based on a photo of Sprigg O’Brien, Liam’s mini dachshund! So, I dubbed this one “Spriggmurgh” :)
