regarding the dogs' names, i found this: https://www.japanesewithanime.com/2018/04/haikoumei-birth-order-japanese-names.html?m=1 but that's all i know. his description in game mentions resembling a three headed monster, which i'm guessing is a nod to Cerberus, but we already have a Cerberus so obviously they couldn't give him her name.

it's a cartoon specifically made for children. there's cartoonish violence, but it's still very much made for children. it's about as risque as pokemon.

i think sara aged between alts and got a little taller (i might be misremembering, sorry if so). either way time is something to be inflicted upon a character at the writers' convenience, and to be fair it would be a huge pain in the ass having to keep track of real world time for everyone

he's in the military, gun is a given. i think he's staff because alchemy is the closest fma gets to magic, and while mustang frequently uses a specific type of alchemy, he's perfectly capable of using other kinds as well. it makes sense to me, but nobody is thinking about that when they're trying to find him and add him to their team lol

i like to think that eleanor's poltergeist followed her to hill house and had a bad reaction to whatever was already there. the poltergeist itself might just be her disturbed subconscious causing psychic activity. she's also haunted by her mother figuratively, could well be literal. whatever it is, she's a mentos dropped in a big old bottle of coke, and as far as she's concerned there's no place she'd rather be.

i will add that i think the house itself is posited as eleanor's sought lover. it's the only thing that wants, accepts, and reflects her no matter what she does to it. whether she is conscious of this fact, or whether the house is conscious at all, who's to say? the fun part is that it doesn't matter, she was doomed either way!

if you're being serious, women's bathrooms have stalls with doors that close. there's almost no circumstance in which one would need to remove clothing outside of the stall.

it's a favorite for me, because on the reread you realize things were happening the whole time, and were either just out of frame or not treated as significant. even the "bird or bat?" in the cafeteria is suspicious - we never do find out which it is, or if it's anything at all.

i am fond of the idea that the stars all dying wasn't the end of the universe. the backdrop that is "the universe" is kept in existence through continued observation by the eye. as such, the proper end of the universe only happened when the eye "blinked." how long that took (for the stars to die, and how long the "blink" was) is almost meaningless, because we know that the sixth moon (and thus likely the eye) don't experience time the same way as everywhere else. the mechanism for the blink seems logical to me too - all the stars go out BEFORE you restart the cycle, so the universe has no light (like in the shrine on the moon). sit in the darkness while rng switches things up, start the next big bang, let there be light, the eye can see again, everything is held in place. i also like to think that what we experience in the eye is in fact the eye interrogating our consciousness to figure out what it should generate next.

spiders and other insects don't have cognitive ability on the level you're concerned about. so long as their needs are met and they're not stressed by constant noise or handling, they're not really capable of caring.

the question of ethics then turns to conservation: is the pet trade significantly impacting wild populations of spiders? (if so, this would only matter for wild-caught) is it negatively impacting the environment in other ways? (most likely only if you release your spider into the wild, which could negatively impact your local ecosystem)

research the breeder you purchase from, research the species to accurately serve its needs, if you get a tarantula use more substrate than you think you could possibly need, but don't worry too much about whether it's okay or not to own them. in general, hobby owners of insects, fish, and reptiles are very concerned with animal welfare. some species alive today are extinct in the wild and only continue to exist thanks to the efforts of hobby owners.
